Well currently FFXXCCMM is not affected at all with the reeffco mess. I don't really expect it to be either.

The real winner as I see it will be the SEC gaining control of index/debt and perhaps fx futures from the CFTC - source of contention for years.

The end winner would be the CME (exchanges) and the clearing house system......that aspect of the industry worked thanks to regulation.......the spot FX and derivative businesses will undergo more screams of regulation....perhaps a clearing house facility to segregate client funds for real....and not just in writing.....

The more I read about this FCM and its scandal just makes my stomach turn.....I personally never liked the company, their practices....and their greed. I had an account with them for 48 hours and closed it because of a 'gut feeling'.....

and where ever this FCM had their fingers into (other platforms, investments), will make me question the integrity of those companies as well....because you are no better off then with the company you keep......

A few platforms in FX (among others vehicles) have a relationship with this troubled FCM.....

I would suspect that these firms will run into a substantial client liquidation request (guilt by association)...just to see if the withdrawal system works......FWIW.....I would personally do that if my funds were involved.....These other companies may be legit.....but since they are in bed with the mothership, it is better to check under the mattress......
