Friday will be a moderately active session for data releases. In Europe, the EZ trade data will be released. This is a key report, but usually does not move the markets. In North America, the Canadian CPI data are always closely watched as the BOC targets the Canadian inflation. Currently inflation is not an issue. In the U.S., building permits and housing starts will be released. We are much more interested in housing sales than new construction as excess inventories still have to be worked down.
FRIDAY:
Far East/Europe:
EZ- Trade- important- indication of strength of economy. Seen stable.
North America:

US- Building Permits/Starts- very important- Key housing indicator. Seen steady.

As I see there are at least 2 big TARPS, there s the US one covering big companies and waiting for payouts or earnings per share to cover up the natinal money debt used. and there's the Eurozone TARP covering toxic loans buoyed from smaller central banks all over eurozone so to avoid bankrupticy.

Which one will work better just time will tell

Como Perrie 12:16 GMT July 16, 2009
Might go either ways larger term. If US rates rise earlier as those of EU (as economic developments and crisis managments shows at current) It might well be the buck to get stronger be4 anything... but this is really long term trading most do not apply

EUR/JPY has retraced over half its recent decline, which was a tad more than Mizuho Corporate Bank's Nicole Elliott was expecting. However, she says this current move should now stall and looks for implied volatility to move a lot higher. For a strategy, she favors shorts at market, with a stop above 133.40, looking for 131.00 and 128.00 on the downside.

New Zealand's long-term credit rating outlook was cut to negative by Fitch within the last 15 minutes. In their report, Fitch stated that the island country could fall into a Japanese-style low-growth trap. The revisions reflects the rating company's "concern about the medium-term growth outlook for New Zealand given its persistently large current account deficit," the report said. To finance this deficit, the country has had to take on "rising foreign indebtedness," that should be taken with caution. Such fiscal deterioration requires New Zealand to exhibit stronger fiscal adjustments if it seeks to improve its credit outlook.LINK

NZD/USD to trade lower as risk worries rekindled on news rescue talks for U.S. business lender CIT Group have collapsed, says Auckland dealer; "it deepens the risk equation." Adds while not a first-tier lender, CIT is source of funding to thousands of small, medium businesses. Earlier, NZD/USD hit 2-week high of 0.6514 after Wall Street's gain; "the gloss has now come off with CIT." Says 2Q CPI data print had little impact on NZD; "there are bigger issues and inflation is irrelevant for now."

RBS Australia Foreign Exchange Strategist Greg Gibbs said the data suggest the RBA continued to increase its volumes of sales on the currency above US$0.80 in June.

"It's possible the RBA could be advising the government that these are good levels to be selling into on the Australian dollar for purchases of foreign exchange, which they may need now or later in the year," he said.

The RBA's spot foreign exchange market transactions in May amounted to net sales of A$1.43 billion. The central bank also bought a net A$401 million from the government during that month.

Syd 02:57 GMT July 16, 2009 Reply
"Nothing sinister" about RBA FX activity, central bank is simply buying low, selling high and "intervening when the market is changing too rapidly", TD Securities senior strategist Annette Beacher says. Notes RBA "retreats" to more normal trades when AUD stable and around 0.7500.

RBA shows no sign of cooling its selling of AUD, offloading a record A$1.94 billion during June, having sold A$1.80 billion in May. Selling likely indicates bank building up its reserves, though could also illustrate a degree of uneasiness with AUD/USD hovering anywhere over 0.8000 in these far from certain economic times; likely they'll continue that trend near term

Forex Forum

The Global-View Forex Forum is the hub for currency trading on the web. Founded in 1996, it was the original forex forum and is still the place where forex traders around the globe come 24/7 looking for currency trading ideas, breaking forex news, fx trading rumors, fx flows and more. This is where you can find a full suite of forex trading tools, including a complete fx database, forex chart points, live currency rates, and live fx charts. In addition, there is a forex brokers directory where you can compare forex brokers. There is also a forex brokers hotline where you can ask for help choosing a forex broker that meets your individual fx trading needs.

Forex News

The forex forum is where traders come to discuss the forex market. It is one of the few places where forex traders of all levels of experience, from novice to professionals, interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading. There is also the GVI Forex, which is a private subscription service where professional and experienced currency traders meet in a private forex forum. it is like a virtual forex trading room. This is open to forex traders of all levels of experience to view but only experienced currency tradingprofessionals can post.

Currency Trading

Currency trading charts are updated daily using the forex trading ranges posted in the Global-View forex database. You will also find technical indicators on the fx trading charts, e.g. moving averages for currencies such as the EURUSD. This is another forex trading tool provided by Global-View.com.

Forex Brokers

The forex database can be used to access high, low, close daily forex ranges for key currency pairs, such as the EURUSD, USDJPY, USDCHF, GBPUSD, USDCAD, AUD, NZD and major crosses, including EURJPY, EURGBP, EURCHF, GBPJPY, GBPCHF and CHFJPY. Data for these currency trading pairs dating back to January 1, 1999 can be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet.

Forex Trading

Forex chart points are in a currency trading table that includes; latest fx tradinghigh-low-close range, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci retracement levels, daily forex pivot points support and resistance levels, average daily forex range, MACD for the different currency trading pairs. You can look on the forex forum for updates when one of the fx trading tools is updated.

FX Trading

Global-View also offers a full fx trading chart gallery that includes fx pairs, such as the EURUSD, commodities, stocks and bonds. In a fx trading world where markets are integrated, the chart gallery is a valuable trading tool. Look for updates on the Forex Forum when the chart gallery is updated.

Forex Blog

Global-View.com also offers a forex blog, where articles of interest for currency trading are posted throughout the day. The forex blog articles come from outside sources, including forex brokers research as well as from the professionals at Global-View.com. This forex blog includes the Daily Forex View, Market Chatter and technical forex blog updates. In additional to its real time forex forum, there are also Member Forums available for more in depth forex trading discussions.
