FM ... $HUI, gold and silver and copper all had big losses today and closed more or less near the lows. Similar oil.
I have it more with nt ... i think next week will bring lower lows.
At least on monday ahead of PPI on tuesday and CPI on wednesday the usual push down should be expected.
If you are right ... fine. Most of my wealth is in the physical.
So any direction welcome.
The broads closed near the highs ... do they smell peace in israel/lebanon? At least for a few hours maybe - or even for a few days?
Nice weekend @all!!!

FM ... really gangsters there: ask was at 11867, i bot market (unfortunately below 100 shares) and got filled at 11926.
Unbelieveable.
To be fast doesn't also mean to be successful. Now option changed: buy at ask +0.01 and sell at bid -0.01.
Is similar fast - but no negative surprises.

mamun ... sorry, no advice, i know nothing here except that we had full moon - and that gold is rather choppy here.
There are times when i don't have a feeling for a market - as if i had lost connection, and then my guts are just quite. I respect such times and don't trade much then in that market. Actually i'm hedged in paper gold and silver. So going down would be my preferred scenario - yet that is just a wish.
And of course i still hold all my physical.
So mamun, my advice is: listen to your guts - they know best what to do! If they don't know - don't trade.
BTW: did you notice that also nt is puzzled right here with gold - did you notice his questions? Amazing.

China's 1% CPI growth in July doesn't necessarily mean inflation's easing, says PBOC research bureau director Tang Xu. His remarks are likely to bolster expectations China will tighten more, with FX moves tipped. Indeed, earlier this week PBOC said (in its 2Q monetary policy report) it views the yuan exchange rate as a tool for solving balance-of-payments imbalances. Tang also says overly rapid growth in liquidity and fixed-asset investment - two areas of concern to Beijing - adds to inflationary pressure.

Something to consider regarding inflation looking forward :
China Inflation Unexpectedly Slows as Vegetables Drop
Aug. 11 (Bloomberg) -- China's inflation unexpectedly slowed last month as vegetable prices dropped and gains in fuel and utility charges eased.
The consumer price index climbed 1 percent from a year earlier after rising 1.5 percent in June, the Beijing-based National Bureau of Statistics said in an e-mailed statement today. Inflation lagged every forecast in a Bloomberg News survey of 18 economists.

Senate hears oil price drop could cause problems
A Senate inquiry has been told that a significant drop in the world oil price would reduce the incentive to explore.
The committee has heard evidence that oil prices could fall to $20 a barrel.
The chief executive of the Petroleum Production and Exploration Association, Belinda Robinson, says if prices were to fall, it could add to problems.
"If it went back to $20 a barrel I think we'd see what we've seen in the past around the world which is perhaps part of the predicament that we are [in] globally and that is a failure to invest in exploration," she said.
