Tonbridge AL / stress, it seems to me, is a psychological state. I do not expect that it means the same thing to all people in the world. In fact, some would probably not be able to function without it, others perform better under it than without it and others yet are completely useless at making decisions under its influence.
I agree that computerized charting, for example, can lead to that "coordination of hand eye AND brain" diconnect. On the other hand, for some, computerized chart-based parameter linked trading is probably not only intellectually challenging and rewarding but practically useful. In some parts of the world people using abacus still beat other people in other parts of the world using electronic gadgets. Especially when the batteries die (or they find themself in low light conditions)

Stress, Coping, etc is about preparation.
Knowing the risks in advance by taking the approach of; what if scenario; if this then that statement.
Tiger Woods once asked how he coped and he made the observation that what he does is visualize the ball going into the hole whilst he take the practice swing.
In trading the advent of computers has taken many away from drawing charts by hand therby losing that coordination of hand eye AND brain interaction. So instead print them out and start drawing tomorrow and next weeks lines on the paper IN ADVANCE. IE do it virtually and then compare after the fact to the reality
