(Dow Jones via eFXnews)EUR/USD - to trade in lower range. Undermined by positive USD sentiment and narrowing EUR/USD interest rate differential after Fed chief Bernanke yesterday quashed expectations of a third round of U.S. quantitative easing and ECB offered cheap three-year lending facility to 800 banks which took out loans of EUR529.5 billion; jump in Portuguese government bond yields yesterday despite ECB's second LTRO as investors worry that Lisbon is likely to need a second bailout and is heading toward possible default on its debt; caution ahead of confirmation of agreement from private bondholders on Greece's EUR100 billion debt write-down restructuring plan as ISDA committee will hold meeting at 1100 GMT today to decide on whether a Greek CDS payout should be triggered. But EUR/USD losses tempered by sovereign demand for euro.
