Forex Blog - Economic Data Preview For FridayFriday will be an active data session. Japanese wholesale prices should not impact the markets. In Europe, UK PPI should not impact the outlook for future BOE policy. In North America, Canadian data will be a highlight with employment, trade and manufacturing sales likely to give a broad read on the economy. In the U.S., the highlight will be the latest trade statistics with import prices a related statistic. The University of Michigan survey is watched for surprises.
JA- Corporate Goods Price Index- important- wholesale prices. Deflation intact.
UK- Core PPI- important- BOE targets inflation. Seen low and steady.
CA- Employment- very important- Jobs key economic metric. Seen mixed.
CA- Trade- important- Key indicator of demand. Deficit seen steady.
CA- Mfg Sales- closely watched- industrial activity. No estimate.
US- Import prices- Closely followed- inflation component. Seen higher.
US- Trade- important- Key indicator of domestic demand. Deficit seen steady.
US- University of Michigan Survey- closely followed- Sentiment survey. Seen better.
