GVI Forex Trading Theme of the Week--

Monday starts out with holidays in several centers and the release of the closely followed Japanese quarterly Tankan Survey. Depending on how the calendar falls, The first week of the new month usually sees PMI data, Central Bank meetings and U.S. Employment data. PMI data are always watched closely because they are one of the most current measures of economic activity. This week will see central bank decisions by the Reserve Bank of Australia (Tuesday), the European Central Bank (Thursday) and Bank of England (Thursday). In all cases, no change in policies or key interest rates are expected. Friday will see the latest employment data from the U.S. and Canada. In both cases, the data are critical measures of economic activity.
