Current Market Conditions:
Equity markets are ending Thursday in a clear RISK-OFF posture as stock prices have fallen. There is talk that the ECB meeting today may have seen President Draghi encounter strong opposition to additional QE The EURUSD is off its highs of the day.
- The ECB Po;icy decision has been characterized as a damp squib. Some traders had been hoping for an aggressive easing surprise from Draghi, but no changes in policy were announced.
- The UK Construction PMI was better than forecast and should be viewed as an "internal" rather than an external" economic indicator.
- On Friday, a slew of Service PMIs are set for release along with the September U.S jobs report. ADP Private Payroll data showed a gain of +213K in August vs. +202K in July. The data had no impact on street expectations for a gain in non-farm payrolls of about that amount...
