- The equity rally triggered by infrastructure spending decisions by President Trump on Tuesday carried into Wednesday trading. Further activity could continue to fuel rising equities and weigh on the EURUSD.
- The January German IFO Survey for January 2017 were surprisingly soft. No major EURUSD impact.
- The U.K. Supreme Court upheld High Court ruling affirming that Parlimentary approval is needed to invoke Article 50, which puts Brexit into motion. This decision should not impact the Brexit timetable. It was also ruled that devolved parliaments have no role in the decision. If this had been required, PM May could have faced a messy process with Scotland already on record as opposing Brexit.
