Forex Market: items driving the forex market:
- The USD continues to maintain its positive tone. Currently the onus is on the Trump Administration to show it can get its legislative act together. Expect the Fed to maintain a tightening bias, but it might be forced pursue a more cautious policy posture if Trump cannot push anything through Congress.
- There is a growing perception that the ECB soon will start to consider stepping back from excessive policy ease. A press report Wednesday suggested that the ECB will remain accomodative in coming months. Watch the EZ flash HICP data Friday. The March German Ifo Survey (Monday) was considerably stronger than expected.
- EU Article 50 was signed late Tuesday in the U.K. by PM May. It was then presented to the EU on Wednesday. The request to the U.K. Parliament for a second Scotland Independence referendum was approved by the Scottish Parliament. The request is unlikely be considered soon while Brexit negotiations are underway.
Lots to consider. Please comment...
