Both Fed Chair Yellen and ECB President Draghi will speak today in Jackson Hole. Expectations for posible market-moving comments are low. So there is a lot of room for surprises today. There is a risk that something could be announced in another speech or in the hallways by someone else that could impact markets, so be on guard. Otherwise, the data calendar today is light.
The EURUSD HOD so far has been 1.1805, while the LOD has been 1.1773. The EURUSD has been range-bound all week ahead of Jackson Hole. Liquidity continues to return to the markets as the summer holidays fade. Keep an eye on the yield on the U.S. 10-yr Note (last 2.194%, +0.2bp).
