The initial focus today is on the German ZEW Survey. A mixed outcome is expected. Markets will be looking for any impact from the rising EURUSD exchange rate. This data set can be volatile. Later, the key focuce will be on U.S. housing starts and permits. Keep in mind the two major huricanes will be distorting U.S. data for several months. A key Fed decison is due Wednesday.
The EURUSD HOD so far has been 1.2007, while the LOD has been 1.1948. The focus remains on the pivotal EURUSD 1.2000 line which must still be established as the next support level to recharge the EURUSD advance. The yield on the U.S. 10-yr Note was last 2.225%, +2.3bp. The 2.20% level remains in play. Use the 10-yr note yield as your short-hand sentiment barometer. Your Amazing Trader charts can provide market direction.
