We stick to our view that central bank tightening is biting (Bank of Canada speaks on the topic today). And should we get the spec run out of commodities over the near-term, as we believe, just maybe some players will be unloading otherwise â€śgoodâ€ť equity positions to raise some cash. Not sure if this potential qualifies as â€śmini-contagionâ€ť or not. But we think it is a likely scenario for the ebb and flow of capital.
And if commodities are vulnerable, maybe the Comdols (commodity dollars) are as well:
The Canadian dollar just keeps on going. The trend is still clearly down for USDCAD. Is it due for a much needed breather?
Aussie trending lower already on a weekly basis, but still plenty of air is left in this pair.
