Russia says it might diversify into EUR - the EU might end up with less trade with Russia based on the Ukranian situation -- the EUR is a destination currency as Asia and now Russia seek diversification but seems to lack any economic advantage - merely a cork on a sea of dollars

At June 27 I've posted my elliott wave charts for chf, cad and jpy.
usdchf here :http://www.ttrader.com/mycharts/charts/contrarian/usdchfew.gif

usdcad :http://www.ttrader.com/mycharts/charts/contrarian/usdcadew.gif

usdjpy :http://www.ttrader.com/mycharts/charts/contrarian/usdjpy.gif

And eurusd :http://www.ttrader.com/mycharts/charts/contrarian/eurusdm.gif

We are working now on the last minor waves of this huge usd bear market. The final wave-5 of this cycle is on his end. Medium and long term traders should cover short pos and start loading long usd pos.
Short term traders may wait for a retracement as wave-iv of larger wave -5 and then the last downward wave-v of 5.

I really do not know how most Americans are digestng their Turkey this holiday, but I am sure that big bond holder may have intestinal problems, so to all exporters who did not hedge yet their $$$ earnings.
There is still a big money to move out from dollars, even to the extent of pandemonium breakout, that only god knows.

In other words many yet have to protect their earnings and/or their savings.

A blowoff in the next few days for the Euro MAY even reach to the
range [1.4000_1.4500].

Like to hear opinions on that.

bold call at this time...but if 1.3060 is broken, then perhaps a further retracement would be in the works.

1.2500 is pivot, long-term support. If that level goes ...you have a great shot at 1.10.......

happy hunting.

Norway┤s Deputy Leader of the Parliamentary Energy Committee, Hallgeir Langeland, proposes that oil should be traded in euros rather than dollars.

Apart from Norway, also Russia, Venezuela and Malaysia have made similar noises of late. Probably no immediate effect from this topic on the markets, but a story worth following. If it were to materialize EUR/USD would just shift levels rather than trade higher.

Nice w/e.
