Back in the Arena, hope we'll capture the ennemy's flag...

Usd/chf went to 1.3050 as forecasted but eur/usd did not find enough conviction to get 1.1905. Anyway, dollars sellers won the game today and hold quiet well so far. The native sectors for the opening at 00:00 gmt are:
euro /1.1905/1.1859/1.1813/ this pair is between two sectors right now.
chf 1.3050/1.3095
gbp 1.7870/1.7810
aud 0.7331/0.7357
Building the report for that theory, I've noticed aud/usd is the most capricious pair. It eventually fills its sector as much as the other pairs but sometimes forces the players to stop the fees. In this logic of the "native sectors theory", the rule is to buy/sell the first number to reach the other one. A square is recommended at (+1 sector). For example, for eur/usd, a square is a good idea at +/- 45 pips depending if your short or long and a stop reverse at (1 sector +10 pips). The first pair that gives a signal wins the game. That means for example that if aud/usd touches its upper native line , this supposes, it will get the lower one and then attracks the other pairs in that direction. This theory does fail sometimes but as far as I can check, a stop reverse in the third sector has always saved the stall. Draw the lines for each pair and have a try....
The numbers might change a little bit but I will tell you if so...

Earlier there was a post saying there were offers around the 1.1880 area from a credible member that is in the loop and that is really rare to find on this side of the pond. It is hard indeed to take some information posted here seriously when you don’t know who is posting but thanks to ARTOFYEN that is clear now. That 1.1880 is being defended pretty good with intraday indicators in O/B territory again and no budging the resistance for now. Thanks for the information Ham CLA. GL GT

Police with sniffer dogs searched the Hilton Berlin room by room after telling about 400 to 500 hotel guests and 100 employees to leave. An unidentified caller phoned the threat to the hotel at about 5 p.m. local time, police said.

AMC my online platform takes a sample of all positions held by clients as well as orders pending for the majors. Although only a tiny tiny component of the fx market as a whole, the sample is taken from a few thousand clients and I believe a useful indicator of the market herd mentality.

Just to add fresh long usd/chf positions were entered into pointing to further losses for the dollar before it attempts new highs for the year. It seems the herd (on my platform anyway) ALWAYS gets it wrong. Although the sample is still well long eur/usd so I have to believe after eur/usd rallies for another couple hundred pips and clears out these new shorts its time to drop again IMO.

fwiw...a report circulating (don't ask for source) draws attention to the fact that euro can reach 1.2045/60 without too heavily damaging the prospects for bears...a consolidation above that zone, however, would then make euro "innocent 'til proven guilty"...essentially a bottom will have been formed and, in order to change the situation back to a bearish one, it would require proactivity from the bears i.e. key supports would need to be taken out as it would no longer simply be a case of selling upticks...gl gt

A comment I posted on Sunday evening on GV new Research page and still valid (te EUR/USD medium term outlook):

" A look at the weekly charts surely shows the Dollar still correcting and for the time being its corrective uptrend is quite normal. The latest model breaks in its favour add to this picture, however I would like to make a strong caution at this point, particularly regarding EUR/USD. Prices are approaching the long term support line which this week comes in at 1.1690-95 and, although I am not a fan of linear analysis, it wouldn't be prudent to take a long term line lightly. A break could trigger heavy long term stops as the market will most probably take it as a break of the long term uptrend and possibly a major trend reversal. On the other hand, it is reasonable to expect strong EUR bidding in front of the line and we may thus see a very strong rebound which, at an early stage, will be very hard to call simply a first reaction or the beginning of a new major upleg. Apart from the big line, we also have the WMDL (mid level) around 1.1760-65 this coming week which makes the area 1.17-1.18 quite an O/S one medium term."

The level mentioned above (1.1760 has given a good first rebound but the picture is not clear yet.

The native sectors theory supposes that prices will fill the sector in which they opened.
For example, eur/usd opened in the sector 1.1822/1.1776. Buy/sell a number to reach the other one. I works alsmost every time. When it fails, it's because other pairs reached their number and cut the strength for an other pair to go further up or furher down. I will explain in details all the kind of exeption and failure that can occur with that theory in the report.

hi again,
gbp/usd gave a sign to go further up but it's not the case yet for euro and aud. Chf could rebound a 1.3145 (that's where I cover my short from 1.3187). Once again , the "native sectors theory" has been verified on eur/usd, usd/chf (unless 1.3145 is not printed), gbp/usd and aud/usd. I am building a report to show you the accuracy of that theory for the last two months including gain, risk, square points for a recovering and failures.

FX UPDATE 26/04
Good morning,

***EUR***
EUR/USD (currently 1,1800), 110 pips lower than friday's opening. As we noted, 1,1900-30 offered enough resistance and strong US durable good orders sent the pair back down to 1,18 level. During the week end, the Washington G7 statement was no surprise ( faith in world economic growth, reassesment of strong USD policy and aversion of too much volatility in the FX market). The downside clearly appears as the soft side in EUR/USD. A long term chart shows that we are approaching the 1,16-1,18 zone where lots of exchange took place in June 2003 and Nov 2003, logically this level should be tough to break. Support levels today : 1,1750-60. Resistance around 1,1840 then a stronger one at 1,1900-30. Overall we are still neutral on the medium term but we'll favour buy on dips strategy today.

Data out today:
GER IFO survey April expected 95,0 08.00 GMT
UK CBI quarterly industrial trend survey 08.30 GMT
US new home sales Mar expected 1170K 14.00 GMT
EUROzone Mr ISSING speech 15.00 GMT

Gold at 394.00, with WTI May at 37,21

***JPY***
USD/JPY (currently 109,15) consolidating above 108,80 while selling pressure appears above 109,30.
EUR/JPY (currently 128,75) reached our target friday. Next support around 128,00. 130,50 looks toppish short term.

***GBP***
Cable (currently 1,7730) consolidating inside 1,7650-1,7800. The pair looks like it is building a support above 1.76. On the upside, 1,7800 is still providing strong resistance. Above shows 1,7900.
EURGBP (0,6645) lost 70 pips (all the gains of the previous week) . Critical resistance at 0.6720-40 held and failure rejected the pair lower to test 0,6620 pivotal point. We'll play the range and remain neutral on the cross as long as 0,6610 or 0,6750 have not been printed.
Have a nice day,

Olivier

EUR/USD (1.1787)
Trading range: 1.1705 – 1.1865
Trend: Downward
The trading with EUR/USD hit a new low of 1.1759 during the Asian session. We expect to see new lows with chances for test of 1.1700 latter today. Our strategy is to sell at level of 1.1855 for new low levels below the Asian low of 1.1759. Again the reasons for the five months record low level of EUR/USD is based of the expecting rising of US Interest rates, supported by the weekend G7 meeting.

USD/JPY Daily Forecast and Analysis
USD/JPY (108.96)
Trading range: 108.35 – 109.70
Trend: Neutral
The Yen but remains firm and is not affected by the EUR/USD movement for the moment. We expect to see trading to a level of 108.55 today and chances for recovery to 109.70. Trade within the trading range.

A cut in interest rates by the European Central Bank won't do much to stimulate growth in Germany, Bundesbank acting president Juergen Stark
Stark reiterated the Bundesbank expects Germany's 2004 growth to be around 1.5%, the lower end of the German government's 2004 growth forecast range of 1.5%-2.0%. He said he isn't concerned that Germany may not reach the European Union's deficit criterion in 2005
"But if economic momentum weakens again in 2005, the 3% criterion may be difficult to reach," Stark said.
Stark said that due to the high U.S. current account deficit, markets will have to expect "a weakening of the U.S. dollar in the medium term."
The acting Bundesbank president also said he never considered stepping down after the government nominated Axel Weber to become the new head of the German central bank.

hk ab nz 0.65 06:01//The important thing is your perception of the 'final close'. If your perception of the 'final close' of Euro were down, you then should just go short at this moment without waiting for a 'better' price. The idea of picking tops and bottoms or 'better' prices causes a trader to miss good trades and catch all the bad ones.

How high will it bounce that is a good question. If it holds the 1.1780-85 area we have a first set of bounce to 1.1840-45, 1.1860-65 and 1.1880-85. Second set will be 1.1895-1900, 1.1930-35 and 1.1965-70. I am still holding my short position and will lower my stops to protect profit if 1.1775-80 is seen IMHO. GL GT

Normandy Nick 00:04//Then i would put in an order to buy at your support.

hello everyone, usd/chf gave a sell signal at 1.3187 to get 1.3145. Then, it's a general signal to buy euro at 1.1780 and gbp/usd at 1.17670

Melbourne Qindex 22:47 //Does that mean we should switch back to the short of Euro/$ after the Asian session?

Forex Forum

The Global-View Forex Forum is the hub for currency trading on the web. Founded in 1996, it was the original forex forum and is still the place where forex traders around the globe come 24/7 looking for currency trading ideas, breaking forex news, fx trading rumors, fx flows and more. This is where you can find a full suite of forex trading tools, including a complete fx database, forex chart points, live currency rates, and live fx charts. In addition, there is a forex brokers directory where you can compare forex brokers. There is also a forex brokers hotline where you can ask for help choosing a forex broker that meets your individual fx trading needs. Interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading.

Forex News

The forex forum is where traders come to discuss the forex market. It is one of the few places where forex traders of all levels of experience, from novice to professionals, interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading. There is also the GVI Forex, which is a private subscription service where professional and experienced currency traders meet in a private forex forum. it is like a virtual forex trading room. This is open to forex traders of all levels of experience to view but only experienced currency tradingprofessionals can post.

Currency Trading

Currency trading charts are updated daily using the forex trading ranges posted in the Global-View forex database. You will also find technical indicators on the fx trading charts, e.g. moving averages for currencies such as the EURUSD. This is another forex trading tool provided by Global-View.com.

Forex Brokers

The forex database can be used to access high, low, close daily forex ranges for key currency pairs, such as the EURUSD, USDJPY, USDCHF, GBPUSD, USDCAD, AUD, NZD and major crosses, including EURJPY, EURGBP, EURCHF, GBPJPY, GBPCHF and CHFJPY. Data for these currency trading pairs dating back to January 1, 1999 can be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet.

Forex Trading

Forex chart points are in a currency trading table that includes; latest fx tradinghigh-low-close range, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci retracement levels, daily forex pivot points support and resistance levels, average daily forex range, MACD for the different currency trading pairs. You can look on the forex forum for updates when one of the fx trading tools is updated.

FX Trading

Global-View also offers a full fx trading chart gallery that includes fx pairs, such as the EURUSD, commodities, stocks and bonds. In a fx trading world where markets are integrated, the chart gallery is a valuable trading tool. Look for updates on the Forex Forum when the chart gallery is updated.

Forex Blog

Global-View.com also offers a forex blog, where articles of interest for currency trading are posted throughout the day. The forex blog articles come from outside sources, including forex brokers research as well as from the professionals at Global-View.com. This forex blog includes the Daily Forex View, Market Chatter and technical forex blog updates. In additional to its real time forex forum, there are also Member Forums available for more in depth forex trading discussions.
