Hi guys. Been offline most of the past week. Dollar continued to make some ground after Greeny's talk I see. Market pricing in an extra 25bps Fed hike?

Interestingly the dollar index has poked its head above the 50 day ma. In the past years this ma has offered good resistance or support depending on the trend so it might pay to watch if the dollar can hold above this level or dip back down below again. The coming weeks price action should give a good guide as to whether to enter short dollar positions again for another leg of the dollar downtrend or if we are going to stick in this range and see the dollar move higher still.

Thanks a bunch to Van Gecko who gave us an early heads up on a possible dollar correction last weekend and helped me take my stops nice and early on my short dollar positions. Cheers mate :)

For HK property, plain view is, during 1990-1997, I don't see multi-fold of salary increase but multi-fold of property rally. Thus, the last property masacre is well well deserved. 'cos the price action was like Nasdog.

For HK property, plain view is, during 1997-2003, I don't see multi-10% of salary decrease but multi-10% of property decline. Thus, the last property recovery is well well deserved. 'cos the price action was like Normal...

But that "60% drop" is well deserved if you compare the CPI increase during the property rally and the property rally.
I don't see how people in 1997 to support a house of 3,000,000 with salary only like 10,000.

according to your line of analysis based on "affordability", present property price is a lot more affordable than the period in 97', does it mean property is a buy at present?

hk revdax 04:45 GMT -- price is still sitting nicely within 1.19-1.24 range as fixed by our master..

In view of holiday July and August, plays on the stronger hands is better than holding pains.

I also cut a chf short at 1.2568 last night and the SAR on chf was taken.

nt, why dont you see the big rise in 1980-1997 as wave 3, now we are in abc correction, so a big C is coming. It really depends on how long the cycle you are watching. What factors favor HK economy other than China support? What if US economy doom? of couse their government will do everything to build other bubbles. What if, a very big if, people awakes and start looking into the BIG BIG deficit again?

"No salary increase at all over the last 2 years but a surge of property price of 30% at least...... what do you think if it can continue or not?", do you forget to look at the other side of the coin, ie, "No significant salary cut at all over the last 7 years but a drop of property price of 60% at least..."

Forex Forum

The Global-View Forex Forum is the hub for currency trading on the web. Founded in 1996, it was the original forex forum and is still the place where forex traders around the globe come 24/7 looking for currency trading ideas, breaking forex news, fx trading rumors, fx flows and more. This is where you can find a full suite of forex trading tools, including a complete fx database, forex chart points, live currency rates, and live fx charts. In addition, there is a forex brokers directory where you can compare forex brokers. There is also a forex brokers hotline where you can ask for help choosing a forex broker that meets your individual fx trading needs. Interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading.

Forex News

The forex forum is where traders come to discuss the forex market. It is one of the few places where forex traders of all levels of experience, from novice to professionals, interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading. There is also the GVI Forex, which is a private subscription service where professional and experienced currency traders meet in a private forex forum. it is like a virtual forex trading room. This is open to forex traders of all levels of experience to view but only experienced currency tradingprofessionals can post.

Currency Trading

Currency trading charts are updated daily using the forex trading ranges posted in the Global-View forex database. You will also find technical indicators on the fx trading charts, e.g. moving averages for currencies such as the EURUSD. This is another forex trading tool provided by Global-View.com.

Forex Brokers

The forex database can be used to access high, low, close daily forex ranges for key currency pairs, such as the EURUSD, USDJPY, USDCHF, GBPUSD, USDCAD, AUD, NZD and major crosses, including EURJPY, EURGBP, EURCHF, GBPJPY, GBPCHF and CHFJPY. Data for these currency trading pairs dating back to January 1, 1999 can be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet.

Forex Trading

Forex chart points are in a currency trading table that includes; latest fx tradinghigh-low-close range, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci retracement levels, daily forex pivot points support and resistance levels, average daily forex range, MACD for the different currency trading pairs. You can look on the forex forum for updates when one of the fx trading tools is updated.

FX Trading

Global-View also offers a full fx trading chart gallery that includes fx pairs, such as the EURUSD, commodities, stocks and bonds. In a fx trading world where markets are integrated, the chart gallery is a valuable trading tool. Look for updates on the Forex Forum when the chart gallery is updated.

Forex Blog

Global-View.com also offers a forex blog, where articles of interest for currency trading are posted throughout the day. The forex blog articles come from outside sources, including forex brokers research as well as from the professionals at Global-View.com. This forex blog includes the Daily Forex View, Market Chatter and technical forex blog updates. In additional to its real time forex forum, there are also Member Forums available for more in depth forex trading discussions.
