China just has no other option right now.
Maybe in 10-20 years Europe and Russia could become perfect consumers for Chinese cheap product, they still dont have enough money and developed market for chinese cheap stuff, But not now. And not in the near future untill US is a major supplier of high technology for China.

The simple and cruel truth is, the world will always have a war or two, big and small, in each decade and the terrorism will always be with us in one form or another and millions of people will die of hunger and disease and in wars each year and the stronger nations will always invade weaker nations in whatever beautiful name they can find..This has been the true nature of our beautiful world since the time of Lucy and Pekingman..

Over the past year China seems to have concentrated more on stabalising US economy and $ rather than reverse. Japan could figure more in their future strategic considerations. Minutes and reports from international gatherings of Fin M's suggest widespread multi-lateral support for chinas policies. China could just possibly be US's best economic ally?

Abt Doom and Gloom - very easy to make money on peoples fears and having build some kind of a trust token before. But, as I stated before and will continue to insist - nobody in this world is interested in US going down that deep as all those fortune readers predict. It will not happen, for a very simle reason. = US Imperialism connected and tighten together many different big financial groups and interests to go down at once as it was in 193x - no way. Just the opposite. You All can see now that negative events in the War Theatre dont make any difference for the market anymore. Later on, say in a month or two there will be HUGE positive reaction on every little positive event on the said Theatre. Why? Very simple - world is tired of blood. World = peaceful, everage nobodies, going to work every day triyng to make ends meet ets. ets. - I mean majority, want justice and order and a cup of soup every day. And it will chear up everyone

We are at the same boat. Bougt it @ 1.2949 s/l below 1.2880
will take profit at 1.33. But eventually will cover at 1.31 and 1.3250. Depending on time/price action will make a decision if I should hold it untill 1.34 or higher. Thats a game for a couple of months

Current Account Deficit
Faber's ``plan'' may be a big setback for any hope of an orderly reduction in the U.S. current account deficit, which is the biggest risk to the stability of the global financial system.
``A current account deficit of 5 percent of U.S. gross domestic product cannot be reduced,'' Nouriel Roubini of New York University's Stern School of Business and Brad Setser of Oxford University said in a research paper this month, ``if the fastest growing, most dynamic parts of the world economy continue to maintain exchange rates that suppress domestic consumption by keeping the domestic price of imports high.''

NZD ten year bond yield spreads over US bonds
are at the year's high today and the highest since May 2003 as US bond yield dropped under 4.06%. This has seen the NZD yield spread over the ten year bonds rise to 209bp, breaking the highs from Sept. 1st of 206 bp. NZD/USD found strong bids at 0.6590 this morning with the grind higher in
the EUR/USD helping to boost the NZD to the highs of itstight range. AUD/NZD remains in a 1.0550-1.0650 range but the bias remains to the downside with the Kiwi yield spread over AUD ten year bonds still holding near the highs for the year and the highest since Feb. 2003 at 78bp. IFR.

Australia, the world's biggest coal supplier, raised its forecast for commodity exports for a second time as soaring Chinese demand and rising oil prices boost energy sales 38 percent. Sales abroad of commodities from alumina to zinc will rise 16 percent to a record A$95.7 billion ($67 billion) in the 12 months ending June 30, 2005, the Australian Bureau of Agricultural & Resource Economics said. That's 2.5 percent more than the Canberra-based bureau's June forecast. Soaring prices are underpinning A$11.1 billion of new oil fields and coal mines being developed in Australia by BHP Billiton, Woodside Petroleum Ltd. and rivals. Higher commodity sales may help narrow Australia's trade deficit, which widened to A$2.75 billion in July, the second highest ever.

Taking some off here at 133.66 (15min trendline RES) and will let the balance ride with a trail stop now at 133.50.

TEHRAN (AP)--Iran may resume uranium enrichment "any moment," Intelligence Minister Ali Yunesi said on state television Monday. "We suspended (enrichment) voluntarily and we may continue it voluntarily," Yunesi said. "And we may resume (enrichment) any moment." The International Atomic Energy Agency demanded on Saturday that Iran halt all uranium enrichment activity, including the production and testing of centrifuges used to enrich uranium. The agency said it would asses Iran's compliance in two months. Yunesi reiterated that Iran rejected the thrust of the motion adopted by the U.N. nuclear agency Saturday. "The resolution is illegal," he said. "The Islamic Republic of Iran...will ignore the provisions of the resolution because it is beyond the responsibilities of the IAEA." Delivering the same message at the IAEA's Vienna conference, Iranian Vice President Reza Aghazadeh said his country will "continue its nuclear activities without interruption."

eur/usd willgo to 1.2079 (minor bottom) and make lower again after corection from 1.2079 to get 1.2004 and then get big buying emotion from there, but if cross rate play maybe eur/ussd get lower until 1.1903 for extreme low if possible..
ideally before go down eur/usd move up to get 1.2184 as the ideal start..

- OAO Yukos Oil Co., Russia's biggest oil exporter, will lower crude-oil deliveries to China National Petroleum Corp. this month and supply no oil in October because the Russian company can't pay for transportation, said Sergei Prisyazhniuk, Yukos's chief China representative. Yukos, which earlier agreed to supply 400,000 metric tons a month, will cut deliveries by 150,000 tons, or 38 percent, this month, Prisyazhniuk said. Plans for November shipments haven't been concluded, he said. European customers who receive crude oil via railway may also face cuts in supply, he said, declining to give any more details. Yukos' shipments of 250,000 tons a month to China Petrochemical Corp. won't be affected, he added.

Market is slow usually on monday till US opens. Got this by e-mail from someone and I thought I should let others know.
Many of you may have watched the recent taping of The Oprah Winfrey show where her guest was Tommy Hilfiger. On the show, she asked him if the statements about race he was accused of saying were true. Statements like"... if I'd known African Americans, Hispanics, Jews and Asians would buy my clothes, I would not have made them so nice.. I wish these people would *NOT* buy my clothes, as they are made for upper class white people." His answer to Oprah was a simple "YES". Whereafter she immediately asked him to leave her show.
Don't buy your next shirt or Perfume from Tommy Hilfiger. Let'! s give him what he asked for. Let's not buy his clothes. Let's put him in a financial state where he himself will not be able to afford the ridiculous prices he puts on his clothes.

joel,

Here are my setups
1. Buy break of Close R1, Sell break of Close S1, if hit after NY open. No positions are taken until after major data release

Possible filters: go only in direction of previous day's filled signal direction or use some other technical indicator/trend as a filter.
System runs with stops at opposite (Close R1 on Shorts or Close S1 on Longs) and all trades are exited at 0:00 GMT. Personally, I try and exit by/before NY close.

Saw on one site there were just under 70K angry emails sent to each of the top 50 share holders on record last week ..., most mutual fund managers. That is a lot of damnned email.......I got a hunch it drops about $10 (25%) before buyers come back. Sounds like a Hedge Funds dream there....sell it hard and buy it back for a quick 20% gain. With the market flat, I think there are plenty of guys looking at this as a way to make some $$$$ this year still. We'll see.
