USD/JPY key level to watch is 107.50, which may give way and if that happens 105 or below 100 can be seen and gbp/jpy 210.xx key level and if that goes 205 and may even go as low as 185/190.

As most pair are having correction, I have target 2,1247 on GBPCHF. After that I would have to see what further - so far expect rebound, but not sure if my long term analysis(~1 year) written before shouldn't have changed taking into account even larger picture.

Do you think your aud/gbp 0.5010 target will be seen before the 0.422 target, bcoz aud looks too bullish. tia

MARIBOR,
Thanks for the aud/gbp analysis, I think aud is heading to 0.96/0.94 and if seen probably gbp/aud could reach 2.00 and lower.

Whats your view on gbp/chf , more downside?? Thanks as always.

Crisis? Relax, it's almost over
Global stock markets have suffered their worst early-January trading since records began in the 1920s. Conventional wisdom is again overwhelmingly gloomy - about the global economy, the asset markets and even the sustainability of the global financial and trading systems. However, conditions are not nearly as bad as the headlines and market pundits suggest. In Britain, there seems to be almost no chance of economic and financial disasters comparable to those suffered from 1990 to 1992.

Looking at long term charts for GBPUSD(from 1985) final target for GBPUSD seems to be around 2,2. As cable climbed from 1,036 low in 1985 to ~2,0 now, moves down were mostly corrective(including year 1992). Last corrective move from 2,116 reached target at 1,954 and it is time to go for final round(which can take time as averything started in 1985...) Ideal movement would be straight run to 2,00, than correction(s), than target...

One needs to look for 90 to 200sma as support area.
That imples a multiyear weakness of jpy against gbp.
190 seems a good place but need to get there first oviously and
get good signal at the time. Obviously not intraday trade.

This analysis would fit with the monthly golden cross scenario and pull back to the 50 month MA we've been discussing.
Off course some patience required due to monthly time frame and let's see if/when market does get heavy short.

We're at the 50 month sma. 11000 pips to the 90M sma.
Things are still too orderly to look for bottom here. Need a huge
multifigure day drop before fishing for golden cross entry levels.

Something I posted late last year. If Euro closes above 1.4980 then a possible next top is 1.5608. I think a hawkish ECB with Euro near an all time high is significant coupled with a very DOVISH Fed.

FW CS 20:08 GMT November 20, 2007

Some monthly projections for Euro upside from the monthly lows of 0.8562 (2/1/02) to the monthly high made on 12/1/04 1.3661. Some extensions - 12.5% - 1.4298, 25% - 1.4936, 38.2% - 1.56088, 50% - 1.62105. So short term 1.4936 looks reasonable before we start any type of multi month $ bounce.

last year, euro range is roughly 1.30-1.50. this year maybe 1.40-1.60. In order to ride another 2000 points uptrend, pullback to 1.40 line is possible.
