DJ Jen: Dollar To Remain Leading Reserve Currency For 20 Years
Reply
Jen has worked for the International Monetary Fund, where he was involved in the design of the institution's framework to provide debt relief to highly indebted countries. He has also worked for the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve and the World Bank.He takes issue with the current hand-wringing over the role of the dollar as leading global reserve currency and argues against the widely held view that the U.S. current account deficit, though shrinking, is a liability for the dollar.
"The dollar will have (a) minimal risk of collapsing," said Jen. "The dollar cannot crash partly because there is so much excess savings in the world, and much of (that) will need to stay in the most liquid market in the world - the dollar market."
The dollar's "hegemonic reserve currency status" is safe for at least two decades, said Jen, countering a vocal camp that sees the greenback's dominant role in global trade and transactions diminishing in the coming decade.

Dollar to Drop to 87 Yen If July Low Broken: Technical Analysis
Sept. 1 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. dollar may slide 6 percent toward 87 yen if it falls below support clustered around the July low of 91.74 yen, JPMorgan Securities Inc. said, citing trading patterns.

Thank you DS for your kind words. Always appreciate your views and glad that we share the same for silver. Been hoarding bars and bullion for some time now. We will be laughing our bullocks off when the Nymex can't make good on the physical delivery squeeze later. Something tells me that we might even see that banking holiday soon enough to reorganize the USD clip.

Cheers!

Slow August has finished and we are entering in a hot trading Autumn.

It seems a battle is on among the institutional traders and the speculators.

Institutional are buying while speculators are selling the Euro.

Well, I don't care since I have traps in both ways and my presence in the market is minimal.

One hour after the London open I have trapped the consolidation.See the rest in the video.

AUD/USD recovers strongly after retreat to 0.8338 and turns intraday outlook neutral again. Another high is still possible but after all we'd expect strong resistance as AUD/USD hits 0.8519 key level and bring reversal. On the downside, below 0.8338 minor support will flip intraday bias back to the downside again for 0.8237 support next.
In the bigger picture, there is no change in the broader view that price actions from 0.6008 are correction to down trend form 0.9849 only. Rise from 0.6284 is the last leg and should be near to completion, if not completed. Upside is expected to be limited by 0.8382/8519 resistance zone and finally bring reversal. Break of medium term rising trend line (now at 0.8243) will indicate that such correction has completed and further break of 0.7702 support will confirm. However, note that sustained trading above 0.8519 resistance will argue that whole rise from 0.6008 is possibly developing into a new trend and will open up the prospect of a retest on 0.9849

Australia's RBA Not Showing Urgency To Hike-RBS
Reply
RBA holds a definite hawkish bias, but statement accompanying September's no change decision illustrates policy makers not urgent to hike at October meeting, and will likely await data in meantime, says Royal Bank of Scotland Economist Kieran Davies. "The statement today doesn't give a sense of urgency."
RBA's carefully worded statement is "absolutely consistent" with neutral tone, and notes no mention of moving policy up or down, says TD Securities' Annette Beacher. "The fact that this is a definitively neutral tone has taken the wind out of the sails of the hawkish camp." Says it's only a month since they dropped their easing bias; back to data watching. "According to this carefully written document, tightening is not on the agenda at this stage."
RBA statement "doesn't contain the clear or explicit hiking bias that was on the cards" for market, ANZ economist Amber Rabinov says; hence bonds have rallied, AUD sold off.

USD/JPY May Fall To "91 Level" In Coming Weeks-Shinkin Central Bank
Reply
USD/JPY now rising on slightly higher risk appetite, given better-than-expected regional share market performance, but pair could fall "to the 91 level" in coming weeks on confluence of JPY-positive factors, says Jun Kato, deputy general manager at Shinkin Central Bank. Japanese fiscal half-year ends at end of September, meaning exporters, other firms likely to increase repatriation of overseas earnings; in addition, says historic Lower House election Sunday in which opposition DPJ ousted long-ruling LDP "has led foreigners to expect a fresh start and that's increased interest in Japanese equities." Says foreign stock-buying likely to have bigger-than-usual impact on USD/JPY "because overseas investors buying Japanese shares now won't sell yen to hedge" given fall in short-term USD-JPY LIBOR spread. Says crucial USD/JPY support "at the 91.70-91.80 level," with any breach opening way lower on stop-loss selling. Pair last 93.14

In addition, there is a forex brokers directory where you can compare forex brokers. There is also a forex brokers hotline where you can ask for help choosing a forex broker that meets your individual fx trading needs. Interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading.

Forex News

The forex forum is where traders come to discuss the forex market. It is one of the few places where forex traders of all levels of experience, from novice to professionals, interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading. There is also the GVI Forex, which is a private subscription service where professional and experienced currency traders meet in a private forex forum. it is like a virtual forex trading room. This is open to forex traders of all levels of experience to view but only experienced currency tradingprofessionals can post.

Currency Trading

Currency trading charts are updated daily using the forex trading ranges posted in the Global-View forex database. You will also find technical indicators on the fx trading charts, e.g. moving averages for currencies such as the EURUSD. This is another forex trading tool provided by Global-View.com.

Forex Brokers

The forex database can be used to access high, low, close daily forex ranges for key currency pairs, such as the EURUSD, USDJPY, USDCHF, GBPUSD, USDCAD, AUD, NZD and major crosses, including EURJPY, EURGBP, EURCHF, GBPJPY, GBPCHF and CHFJPY. Data for these currency trading pairs dating back to January 1, 1999 can be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet.

Forex Trading

Forex chart points are in a currency trading table that includes; latest fx tradinghigh-low-close range, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci retracement levels, daily forex pivot points support and resistance levels, average daily forex range, MACD for the different currency trading pairs. You can look on the forex forum for updates when one of the fx trading tools is updated.

FX Trading

Global-View also offers a full fx trading chart gallery that includes fx pairs, such as the EURUSD, commodities, stocks and bonds. In a fx trading world where markets are integrated, the chart gallery is a valuable trading tool. Look for updates on the Forex Forum when the chart gallery is updated.
