you are very welcome dear Rana. You have basic ingriends now to succeed so that we all succeed and demystify the whole myth of forex trading. I know how ambitously you want to succeed. you can build a whole picture with those formula and you will not have confusion trading forex anymore.

anis agadir 23:46 GMT August 23, 2010
USDJPY

great,
you can remove all the confusion on forex by tracking moves on dealers and interbank activity in key pairs. you will be profitable, you will handle stress and above all you will know that you are on the right side of the trade here is those formulas:
eurjpy= eurusd*usdjpy
gbpjpy= gbpusd*usdjpy
eurusd= audusd.euraud
and so on and so forth
here is the best one ( to gauge stength of risk aversion)
usdjpy= usdchf*chfjpy

Rana,
by the way, the can apply that formula to all other jpy pairs and to all chf pairs to devise appropriate entries and exits and to remove all the stress inherent in monitoring just one pair.

AUD/USD Likely To Pull Back To 0.8600 Near Term -NAB
Reply
Concerns of a global growth slowdown and mixed economic reports in Australia have seen rate hike expectations for commodity currencies being wound back, reducing support for AUD/USD, says John Kyriakopoulos, head of FX strategy at National Australia Bank. Over the past few weeks the expected rise in official cash rates in Australia has been pared by 20 bps. The RBA appears on hold for the rest of this year and there is uncertainty over the global growth outlook so expect a modest pullback in AUD/USD to around 0.8600 over the next month or so. Support for AUD/USD is at 0.8830-40, the recent low. Resistance at 0.8980. Now 0.8903

dear rana,
yes, you need to be careful with eurjpy. eurusd is prone to get hammered and I expect market to shoot for 1.25. However, if you want to go short I said wait until usdjpy confirms weakness and since eurusd is weakning already you can rest assured eurjpy will tank big times why:
because eurjpy= usdjpy*eurusd

Ok folks. New missles launched at 8960. Learned my lessons here. Market's reaction to political news may just be muted. Should have followed the technical system we have been using effectively.
----------------------------------
After battling out against 8960 fibo and intraday resistance (R1) yesterday, where we fired new shorts, the pair finally succumbed to powerful bears at 8980 which is 61.8% fibo and diagonal falling TL resistance.

Closed longs @ 8900 for some nice gains. There were other longs established below 8900 (@8893) but were closed likewise. Overall, the trade yielded NET gains.

yes, that is surely the right setup. However, I don't advise you to go short now because chfjpy shall retrace to 82_82.25. Wait until tokyo opens to get confirmation clues on what tokyo will do to chfjpy. If chfjpy tanks after tokyo opens then you can go short jpy pairs, the weakest of them apparently is eurjpy.

Failure Of AUD/USD At Highs A Warning For Bulls -RBC
Reply
AUD/USD has recouped more than its post-election losses, but continues to trade below last week's peak of 0.9080. RBC currency strategist Matthew Strauss says the failure to test 0.8995 must be a concern to AUD bulls as the level represents a key downtrend from early August, confirming a series of lower highs and lower lows. AUD/USD now 0.8900.

DJ China's Slowdown A Risk To Commodity Market
Reply
Import data out of China shows declining demand for industrial materials and oil, demand that had bolstered the global recovery from the financial crisis. "This is consistent with other evidence that China's economy has been slowing since mid-2009," says Capital Economics. It says the data indicate downward risks both to global commodity demand and prices.

SNB WATCH: Bank Faces Test Of Resolve As Euro Set To Slide
ZURICH (Dow Jones)--The Swiss National Bank's claim of further leeway to intervene in currency markets could draw fresh scrutiny in coming days because the euro is expected to weaken to all-time lows versus the Swiss franc, according to analysts. With fresh concerns about a global economic slowdown resurfacing, and equity markets struggling to hold on to any significant gains, investors are increasingly likely to try to avoid risk by opting for the relative safety of the franc.
UBS is doubtful the SNB will want to show its hand in the market right now because this tends to focus the spotlight on the franc, and attracts global speculative flows.
"Any SNB activity just stirs interest from the hedge funds, and then the speculation starts on potential intervention levels, which the SNB won't like," said Zurich-based Siegenthaler.

EUR/CHF - looking for a bottom?

Hope the price retreats to around 1.3140 to have opportunity to buy. This one is way oversold, near all-time lows, poised for a rebound. We foresee that this could be a beginning of a new corrective wave towards 1.3500/10 (50% fibo) at the minimum. Only a break of 1.3100 today will invalidate this scenario imo.

Qunidex and Mailman. Agree with completely. Have been short since 1.3250. EurGBP is like watching paint dry. In such thin markets I'd have expected more vol. I'm trying to view my positions with next week in mind and the way the markets should react in September. So holding 50% of my possies (short EurDlr, EurCHF and EurGBP) as strategic and jobbing around with the other 50%. But it's so thin out there the markets could go anywhere this week. Also been holding a short Dow for a while awaiting Hindenberg's Autmun offensive.

Enough with this mudslinging about the uncertainty of Australian economy.

Australia is a healthy and stable democracy where the difference between the two major parties is not too big.

Investors will continue to flock to safe Australia, and that "uncertainty" will matter nothing, same like those tourists flocking to Thailand and are not being deterred by the widespread aids there.

It was an interesting part to read about some hidden forces that drive the market. Here is the quote directly from the author of 'The Wave of Nature Theory'!
We often fail to appreciate the simple fact that all living things, including the financial markets, vibrate in cycles determined by wave of nature. Going against the “tides” often proves to be disastrous. Again, I am not referring to technical analysis that tracks and analyses historical performances (another effect), but rather the underlying forces (the cause) that influence each and every event on Earth. That is why I call this study and theory the “Wave of Nature”, which is the foundation of my financial predictions.
Like most resource companies its accounts are denominated in USD.
If the bid is successful it will be the domestic shareholders, probably limited to the retail sector, that will be buyers of CAD. Consequently the amount of CAD that will be bought will be much less than the bid amount.

Makes sense but...do you not think that the bidder will have already put hedges in place in anticapation of their bid, in the event that it is successful and, in the event that it fails. In other words, in the absence of full information, you are better off watching the 'short-term' price action and trade accordingly, within the context of price and technical parameters over which, respectively, you are privy to, and, can define/control.

DJ Won't Be Technicals Driving Next Move In AUD/USD
Reply
Now that AUD/USD has pushed back off morning lows, cross is stuck in technical 'no man's land' with fundamental factors set to drive next move. AUD/USD opened lower on hung parliament in Australia, falling to 0.8840, but has pared those losses late morning to hit 0.8909 recently. From there, censored Markets tips support at 0.8850, adding "if the AUD can hold this level it remains in position to run back past 90 cents when sentiment turns for the better." Still, Bank of America-Merrill Lynch strategists don't expect sentiment to turn, targeting cross at 0.8000 by year end.

Australia's Greens Bandt To Meet Independents Monday Or Tuesday - Spokesman
Reply
DJ Adam Bandt, the newly elected Greens member to the lower House of Representatives and a likely key power broker in supporting a new government, is planning to meet with non-party lawmakers later Monday or Tuesday, a spokesman said Monday. Bandt is the first ever Greens member elected to the lower house after he wrested the seat of Melbourne in the country's second largest city from the Australian Labor Party, a constituency it had held since 1904 and one which was previously held by retiring finance minister Lindsay Tanner.
Bandt will now hold talks with the three re-elected independents from rural Australia who could hold the balance of power in what is expected to be a hung parliament.
"He is hoping to meet with the independents either this evening or tomorrow," a spokesman said. "He certainly wants to have discussions with them."
Bandt, who has already expressed a desire to support Prime Minister Julia Gillard's Labor party, received his first communication from opposition Liberal-National coalition leader Tony Abbott Monday, and plans to hold a discussion with him.
Bandt held talks with Gillard on Sunday.
"His preference is to work with a Gillard government to ensure Australia has stable, effective and progressive government," the spokesman said.

Forex Forum

The Global-View Forex Forum is the hub for currency trading on the web. Founded in 1996, it was the original forex forum and is still the place where forex traders around the globe come 24/7 looking for currency trading ideas, breaking forex news, fx trading rumors, fx flows and more. This is where you can find a full suite of forex trading tools, including a complete fx database, forex chart points, live currency rates, and live fx charts. In addition, there is a forex brokers directory where you can compare forex brokers. There is also a forex brokers hotline where you can ask for help choosing a forex broker that meets your individual fx trading needs. Interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading.

Forex News

The forex forum is where traders come to discuss the forex market. It is one of the few places where forex traders of all levels of experience, from novice to professionals, interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading. There is also the GVI Forex, which is a private subscription service where professional and experienced currency traders meet in a private forex forum. it is like a virtual forex trading room. This is open to forex traders of all levels of experience to view but only experienced currency tradingprofessionals can post.

Currency Trading

Currency trading charts are updated daily using the forex trading ranges posted in the Global-View forex database. You will also find technical indicators on the fx trading charts, e.g. moving averages for currencies such as the EURUSD. This is another forex trading tool provided by Global-View.com.

Forex Brokers

The forex database can be used to access high, low, close daily forex ranges for key currency pairs, such as the EURUSD, USDJPY, USDCHF, GBPUSD, USDCAD, AUD, NZD and major crosses, including EURJPY, EURGBP, EURCHF, GBPJPY, GBPCHF and CHFJPY. Data for these currency trading pairs dating back to January 1, 1999 can be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet.

Forex Trading

Forex chart points are in a currency trading table that includes; latest fx tradinghigh-low-close range, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci retracement levels, daily forex pivot points support and resistance levels, average daily forex range, MACD for the different currency trading pairs. You can look on the forex forum for updates when one of the fx trading tools is updated.

FX Trading

Global-View also offers a full fx trading chart gallery that includes fx pairs, such as the EURUSD, commodities, stocks and bonds. In a fx trading world where markets are integrated, the chart gallery is a valuable trading tool. Look for updates on the Forex Forum when the chart gallery is updated.

Forex Blog

Global-View.com also offers a forex blog, where articles of interest for currency trading are posted throughout the day. The forex blog articles come from outside sources, including forex brokers research as well as from the professionals at Global-View.com. This forex blog includes the Daily Forex View, Market Chatter and technical forex blog updates. In additional to its real time forex forum, there are also Member Forums available for more in depth forex trading discussions.
