dc CB 18:07 - probably not, agreed. Does it matter ? Only if you let some sence of morality or social justice outrage creep into your equation. It is dangerous to be right in matters on which the established authorities are wrong. ~Voltaire
On the other hand, to achieve hapiness in this world one either needs a clear conscience or none at all. At risk of "making" your week-end: JPMorgan Is Making Big Profits From Food Stamps! utube
JPM's Christopher Paton qualifies foodstamps as "a very important business to JPM". It is doing well apparently: the number of Americans on food stamps rose to 44 million from 26 million in just 2007. JPM has every incentive to put 95% of Americans on them; that leaves one a choice: to ride the bandwaggon or not.

Spain to rescue its banks
The Spanish government is set to launch a sweeping restructuring of its troubled regional savings banks in an attempt to reassure the market it can sort out the problems of its financial system.
Moody's, a rival credit rating agency, last month put out a negative outlook on Spain, citing its worries about the outlook for the banking system, which has struggled with losses largely related to loans to property developers

JP, this is what we'll never see....
Iceland’s special prosecutor into the banking crisis has confirmed that raids have taken place today and that arrests have been made. The Central Bank of Iceland is among the institutions under investigation.
Special Prosecutor, Olafur Thor Hauksson told Visir.is that house searches are taking place in at least three places today as part of investigations into the central bank, MP Bank and Straumur Bank.

INVESTORS in Asia-Pacific equities and real estate need to tread carefully this year as inflation and currency pressures contain returns and force China's yuan higher, Russell Investments warns.
Interest rates are rising across the region to curtail inflation and China will probably allow the yuan to appreciate 5-8 per cent to dampen inflation and trade tensions, says Russell's chief investment strategist Andrew Pease.
Financial demand, rather than real demand, is driving industrial metals higher, and this, combined with China's moves to slow its economy, means commodity prices will probably fall in the next six months.
Copper and iron ore prices were likely to decline this year, Mr Pease said.
Still, the US Federal Reserve is unlikely to embark on a third round of quantitative easing.

China's 'new' jet orders anything but
The Truth Needle - The big Boeing order from China trumpeted during Chinese President Hu Jintao's state visit to the White House is actually a re-announcement of previous orders
The claim: A White House fact sheet released Wednesday to coincide with the state visit of Chinese President Hu Jintao said: "In preparation for this visit, several large purchases have been approved including for 200 Boeing airplanes. ... The approval, the final step in a $19 billion package of aircraft, will help Boeing maintain and expand its market share in the world's fastest growing commercial aircraft market."
What we found:
The deal President Hu signed does not include any new jet orders.

I am to say that last week we had here a cowboy riding a Mustang, drinking beer from his boots and shooting right and left from knee level in all directions.
Maybe in the coming days the market will teach him to be humble, or at least to pretend being humble(good as humble).
And generally to all Americans whom are using similar language.
Maybe 50 years ago you could impress the natives with this slang, but meanwhile also the natives are not impressed anymore, and may not listen to you.
