I took and oath to the Queen.... so that's a bit difficult for me.

BOD or SOB
Reply
EURUSD
Entry: Target: Stop:
We want to test a new feature and would like your feedback and participation. More than half the battle is to find the strong side to trade and this is a BOD (bid on dips) or SOB (sell on blips) bias + give a reason and/or level. You can have a different bias to what someone posts or can even have times when both work.
This can be done for any currency and anyone can star
a nejw BOD or SOB thread. The bias can change during the day based on news or price action. I think this could be a great addition. Add your bias when you come in and read this - it is a beta test
Example:
SOB bias today while below 1,2800 or 1.2820. With the ECB and Italy and Spain auctions ahead, eurusd upside should be limited on Wednesday.

They would literally be 'Bums' on seats.... he makes me sick.
Still... to be fair, we were speaking of Margaret Thatcher the other day and her daughter is 'barking' and her son should be garrotted.
He walked free after planning a coup in some small African country... which would have made him fabulously wealthy.. now about 35 high end mercenaries (good fellas... ex spec-op) are doing life in Zimbabwe.
There but for the grace of God...

Tony Blair secretly repealed the treason laws, hidden in the Crime and Disorder Act, and the Queen signed it in 1998, saving both their necks.

maintain the rage and save Australia from Labor and Green...saw this from an article. Been very quiet on the Political front lately......calm b4 the storm???...
Wind and solar power, corn ethanol, and electric vehicles are not infant industries in need of support. They are perennially inferior industries that only still exist in their current forms because of a constant stream of "green gold." That stream is slowly drying up, thankfully. The only way to achieve the very admirable goal of transforming society into an energy-efficient space is to eliminate all of the subsidies that are currently directed at green energy and clean technology while increasing taxes on the things we are trying to minimize, such as gasoline consumption and plastic bags. That would force everyone to innovate, compete, and win or lose according to merit...

AUD/USD and NZD/USD outlook next 24 hours: Thereâs little of note on the local calendars today, tomorrow eveningâs ECB meeting the next major to watch for. The probably corrective rallies in AUD and NZD retain momentum. AUDâs immediate overhead resistance is at 1.0385 and any break of that would usher 1.0500. NZD should struggle above 0.8000.

It's every debtor's dream. When asked for a loan, the bank not only agrees, but actually pays the borrower for their patronage. It sounds like a fairy tale, as though the laws of the market economy had been suspended. But on Monday it really happened.
The debtor in this case was the German government, which borrowed âŹ3.9 billion ($5 billion) for the next six months at the unbelievable interest rate of -0.01 percent. Even the German Finance Agency was stunned. "This has never happened before," a spokesperson said.

Its policy of capping the rise of the Swiss franc against the euro will more than likely come under attack now that its chairman, Philipp Hildebrand, has resigned.
Not only will investors want proof that Hildebrand's temporary successor, Thomas Jordan, is as keen to defend the policy as he was, but they will also want confirmation that the policy still holds with the euro so weak.
Hildebrand's resignation in a scandal arising from a currency trade could not have come at a worse time.
With the Swiss economy slowing and the risks of deflation rising, the central bank is ..........

In particular, the Citigroup fund run by Lew, Citiâs Alternative Investments, invested heavily in the hedge fund of John Paulson, âwho made billions off the deterioration of the housing industry by making bearish bets on securities tied to home mortgages â particularly subprime home mortgages.â...................................
Lewâs unit âlost as much as billions of dollars in 2008 as its bets turned sour. In the first quarter of 2008 alone the unit lost $509 million; the company stopped publicly disclosing the unitâs individual numbers soon thereafter, but the part of the company that absorbed Alternative Investments lost $20.1 billion in 2008, according to the bankâs filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.â
For his work at Citigroup, work that included betting on the housing collapse, Lew received a salary of $1.1 million. After Citigroup received its $45 billion taxpayer bailout, Lew â two weeks before joining the Obama administration â received another $900,000 from Citigroup as a bonus. This was revealed only in 2010; in 2009, when Lew first joined the administration as a State Department official, both he and the administration refused to say if he had received a post-bailout bonus from Citigroup

EUR/USD continues to probe the 1.28 handle during the New York session. Dealers are getting nervous ahead of Thursday's ECB decision and wondering which way the event might push the euro. The ECB is expected to press governments to step up their efforts to tackle the euro zone crisis as it leaves its key rates on hold for now . The pair could continue its squeeze higher in the short term, given recent CFTC data showing a record number of short positions in the euro. For the moment, resistance is being seen on the approach to 1.2850.

I must admit that the market acts on a way that I did not expect. not the the direction but it's tempo. playing short term options seems to be the killer for 2012. patience will be tested to it's extreme this year.
as soon the pressure to make money in the market will get big enough to place bets for the short term, then the market will move far enough to the other way. or, it's strong trending but very slow moving market.
so, have a nice trading week :-)

I'm sure the so-called pros know so much more than we could ever comprehend here (even if they can't generate better returns) but for my two cents I'd say the best indicator is your psychological makeup.
Technical tools are admittedly fun to tinker with but they are like anything else. Depending on your paradigm everything works and doesn't work, all at the same time. Knowing what to do and why you do it when it is in agreement with your natural style is paramount. All IMVHO of course.

Betting on euro going up is a bet on short covering as it will take alot to turn sentiment. If it is still holding up on Friday after the ECB meeting, Spanish and Italian auctions, then the risk of a short squeeze will increase.

Corzine Eyes Trump Building for Wall Street Return
NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Exiled from Goldman Sachs(GS_), New Jersey's Statehouse and, recently MF Global, Jon Corzine may find a new home on Wall Street.
The former head of now defunct MF Global may be looking to rent office space in Donald Trump-owned 40 Wall Street and with the brokerage firm John Carris Investments, according to reports from the Wall Street Journal.
According to the Trump web site, 40 Wall Street tenants "represent the pinnacle of New York City in their international prestige and power."
A new abode on Wall Street could be useful for Corzine as he faces scrutiny over the bankruptcy of MF Global and the $1.2 billion in client funds that are reportedly missing. It would also be an unglamarous return to Wall Street for the former Goldman co-head who worked from a limousine during his 1999 ouster, and who Vanity Fair reports was looking to buy a European chateau in the weeks prior to MF's collapse

While prosecutors and regulators have jointly conducted dozens of depositions with former and current employees, a senior official in the Chicago office of MF Global recently declined to meet with the federal authorities, people briefed on the investigation said.
That official, Edith OâBrien, a treasurer at MF Global, is considered a âperson of interestâ in the investigation, the people said....................
While Ms. OâBrienâs testimony could prove crucial, investigators lack access to other important sources that could help unravel the mystery surrounding the missing money. The potential impediments to the case include the lack of access to certain internal documents at MF Global. The firm has withheld the e-mails and other documents from investigators on the grounds of attorney-client privilege.
Louis Freeh, the trustee overseeing the bankruptcy proceedings of MF Global, has not waived the legal provision, which shields records from examination by law enforcement.
The trusteeâs office said they have not received any complaints from investigators, and would be âinclined to waive privilegeâ if it were hampering the investigation.

Almost 65 years ago, in 1947, the U.S. government sued 17 leading Wall Street investment banks, charging them with effectively colluding in violation of antitrust laws.
In its complaint -- which was front-page news at the time - -- the Justice Department alleged that these firms had created âan integrated, overall conspiracy and combinationâ starting in 1915 âand in continuous operation thereafter, by whichâ they developed a system âto eliminate competition and monopolize âthe cream of the businessâ of investment banking.

SYDNEY (Dow Jones)--The total number of Australian houses and apartments approved for construction rose a seasonally adjusted 8.4% in November from October, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said Tuesday.
