Political bigs expected at George Soros wedding
Billionaire investor George Soros, 83, will marry 42-year-old Tamiko Bolton today, followed by a huge party at his Caramoor Estate in Bedford, with 500 guests.
Were told the couple will say their vows in front of a select group of friends and family before they celebrate with hundreds from 4:30 p.m. onward.
Those expected include World Bank president Jim Yong Kim and Toomas Hendrik Ilves, president of Estonia; Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, president of Liberia; and Edi Rama, prime minister of Albania.
Also there will be Paul Tudor Jones II and Rep. Nancy Pelosi. Festivities started Friday night with a dinner at Le Bernardin, followed by cocktails with a few hundred guests at MoMA.
Soros and Bolton, a health care consultant, will exchange vows in a small ceremony on Saturday morning at the Bedford, New York estate, which Soros bought in 2003 from Jurassic Park author Michael Crichton.
Kimba Wood, a federal judge, will perform the non-denominational ceremony, which will be attended by members of the couples families, including his five children, a source familiar with the arrangements told Reuters.
The wedding ceremony will be followed by a reception on Saturday evening with more than 500 guests at the Caramoor arts center in nearby Katonah. On Sunday, the couple will preside over a brunch, also at Caramoor
Boltons dress has been designed by U.S.-based, Lebanon-born designer Reem Acra, whose gowns have been worn by many stars, including Angelina Jolie and Jennifer Lopez.
For Soros, who has a net worth of $20 billion according to Forbes, this will be his third marriage. It will be the second for Bolton.
There is a prenuptual agreement in place and Soross lawyer, William D. Zabel, said last year that Soros will leave the bulk of his estate to charity but he intends to provide generously for his wife.
It will be the third wedding for Soros, who was divorced from Annaliese Witschak in 1983 and Susan Weber Soros in 2005.
Chef Bo Bech of the Geist Restaurant in Copenhagen will prepare the food. Soros and Bolton dined at Geist when visiting Copenhagen in 2009.
According to Reuters the reception on Saturday night will feature Hungarian composer and conductor Ivn Fischer, who created a new arrangement for the occasion, which will be presented with the Budapest Festival Orchestra. Cape Verdean singer Mayra Andrade will perform with the Harris Lane Orchestra.

One of the highlights of the iPhone 5s, the fingerprint scanner, is facing two concerns that may take a little shine off Apples cool new feature.
Lawmakers and some privacy advocates raised concerns this week over how Apple plans to handle this highly sensitive data.
This week, Sen. Al Franken (D-Minn.) sent a letter to Apple chief executive Tim Cook noting how fundamentally different biometric identifiers are from previous ID methods:
Passwords are secret and dynamic; fingerprints are public and permanent. If you dont tell anyone your password, no one will know what it is. If someone hacks your password, you can change it as many times as you want, Franken wrote. Let me put it this way: if hackers get a hold of your thumbprint, they could use it to identify and impersonate you for the rest of your life. Fingerprint scanner for iPhone 5s raises privacy, security concerns

A major American computer security company has told thousands of customers to stop using an encryption system that relies on a mathematical formula developed by the National Security Agency (NSA).
RSA, the security arm of the storage company EMC, sent an email to customers telling them that the default random number generator in a toolkit for developers used a weak formula, and they should switch to one of the other formulas in the product.
The abrupt warning is the latest fallout from the huge intelligence disclosures by the whistleblower Edward Snowden about the extent of surveillance and the debasement of encryption by the NSA. Major US security company warns over NSA link to encryption formula

Large gold deposit found in FujianUpdated: 2013-09-17 18:15 ( chinadaily.com.cn)

A gold deposit with a reserve of 250,000 tons has been found in Dehua county, Fujian province, Fujian Daily reported.
According to the exploration result, the deposit is more than 100 meters in length and of an average thickness of more than 3 meters. In total, the reserves are estimated at almost 10 million metric tons of gold ore and more than 250,000 tons of gold.
Exploration is still being carried out on the north of the deposit. Experts said it is possible the find will be a super-large gold deposit.
An official in charge said the find of the porphyry gold deposit has a guiding significance for finding more Mesozoic volcanic rock-hosting gold deposits.
...................................................................................
What could be a mistake in this report, is the size of the deposit (100 meter in length mentioned), or 100 kilometers?
This piece of news should be carefully followed, if true of not!!!!
Maybe this explains what charts show; That gold may drop to 1000-vicinity(cost of production).
And don't say later you were not informed:(

FWIW- late Friday, Yellen cancelled a planned October 1 speech to the Economic Club of NY. It certainly appears something is up.

From Reuters:
Two Senate Democratic aides, who requested anonymity, said officials had encouraged senators to support Yellen and talk her up, hardening the sense that President Barack Obama has settled on her to replace Fed chief Ben Bernanke when his term ends in January.

One of Einsteins great contributions to mankind was the theory of relativity, which is based on the fact that there is a real limit on the speed of light. Information doesn't travel instantly, it is limited by the speed of light, which in a perfect setting is 186 miles (300km) per millisecond. This has been proven in countless scientific experiments over nearly a century of time. Light, or anything else, has never been found to go faster than 186 miles per millisecond. It is simply impossible to transmit information faster.
Too bad that the bad guys on Wall Street who pulled off The Great Fed Robbery didn't pay attention in science class. Because hard evidence, along with the speed of light, proves that someone got the Fed announcement news before everyone else. There is simply no way for Wall Street to squirm its way out of this one...............
Conclusion
There are 2 possibilities, and both aren't good news for Wall Street.
1. Released by a News Organization
2. Leaked to Wall Street
The Fed news was leaked to, or known by, a large Wall Street Firm who made the decision to pre-program their trading machines in both New York and Chicago and wait until precisely 2pm when they would buy everything available.
We think it was leaked. The evidence is overwhelming.

Fed Blunder
The Fed threw the markets a curve when it announced that it was not ready yet to start to "taper" its purchase of securities ($85bn/mo) which inject liquidity into the markets. That is ok, but the central bank had left the market with the impression that a reduction in asset purchases was in the cards and traders had priced this in. As a result, bond dealers took a bath on their holdings and forex and equity markets reacted violently to the news. While some may feel no sympathy for bond traders, the government relies on them to facilitate the funding of its debt. In an era where the Fed touts its "transparency", this was a major blunder which could impact its effectiveness in the future.
Why Fed the Didn't Taper
Reportedly the Fed held its fire on tightening for three reasons. First, the central bank has been disappointed with the recent sluggish economic data. Secondly, they were unhappy with the increase recently in bond yields, but this was due to anticipation of a taper. Lastly, there is talk that the Fed is not happy about the upcoming debt resolution battle.
Week Ahead
Sunday sees national elections in Germany. Expectations are that Chancellor Merkel will be returned as Chancellor for a third term, but she is thought destined to be the leader of a coalition which will have shifted to the left. Any other outcome would be a surprise.Japan is closed on Monday. The major feature of the week will be the slew of flash PMI data releases on Monday. On Tuesday, the closely-followed German IFO sentiment Survey will be released. This is typically a market-moving event. The U.S. calendar in relatively subdued. It features the Conference Board and University of Michigan Sentiment Surveys among other items. For key calendar items and more detail (dates, times, data estimates), be sure to refer daily to the Global-View Economic Calendar and the Forex Forum for key items (actual data, selected charts, etc.) as they are released.
