john 19:39 // might you have some cardinal prognostications for 2014 beyond the 5min-hourly-daily ?
ex.: will the FED continue to taper its "taper", what might happen to 2 or 10 year int rates and what profitable implications that might have between various markets, will greece leave the EU and what that might/not present as euro trading profit opp, ect ect any other to you original trade ideas

start to reopen Thursday after the New Years break with the usual
final PMI indices on the first trading day of the month. Flash PMI
estimates usually steal the thunder from the final releases except for
the U.K., which does not see flash data. .
- This year will see a second new starting day for the year
on Monday after a likely quiet Friday. Friday sees only U.S. . weekly
energy data.
- No major data will be released on Friday .For additional

Each week the COT charts are automatically posted to pages under the Charts link at the top of the page. You might notice that the Gold market behaves differently from the EURUSD Oil as well. I honestly don't know why. I stumbled over the spoy vs 20-day average relationship purely by chance.

John I would think if the 20 gets closer to 1.3800.
We may see it start heading south.
I most times I see 1.37-1.38 the beginning of exhaustion or consolidation.

Look at COT posts as I look for sentiment and price action .
Your explanation gave a simple valuable way to evaluate COT.
I'll be watching closely as it approaches 1.38 to see how things move along keeping in mind it's a weekly picture.
