Riddle me this. It's not like coffee beans are dear or the wholesale price is skyrocketing.
Since the turn of the cal year...all the the prices at my local national chain suprmrket are up 10 to 20%.
pound bags----yeh the 12oz lb- are now On Sale to Club Card Holders at just under $10 each. In Dec the CCard offer was under $8 each. Starbucks supermarket ground coffee is just a step above Eight O'Clock Brand.
Given any alternative, this stuff is going to languish on the shelves past its Sell By Date.
If this is the case across the board, SBUX is crusin' for a brusin'

Talking head on CNBC saying "neutral Funds rate" could be negative or only slightly positive. He said that implies a U.S. 10-yr of about 1.50%!
Back to deflation in U.S. that means FOMC will be supporting the stock market for another year. If so, the EURUSD could be undermined. I think we have to be open-minded and flexible in coming weeks. I am waiting to see what all the Fed mouths will be saying when their quiet time runs out. My prediction is they will be out of touch as ever.

Majority of households do not have enough to end the month.
If borrowing from the bank gives interest, maybe no one will return a loan?
Mostly money will go to real estates, and deplete purchase of other instruments.
Is a boom in construction a sign of a good economy?
NIR intends, that money will flow into the economy, but investors are likely reluctant to enter any new venture in the present condition(lack of opportunity).
You can attract people to invest with sugar, not to scare them with chili to do make any investments.
Except that, most investments are riskier than cash, so better let one lose a fraction of a percent than few(or many) percents.

CURRENT CONDITIONS: Risk-On In Europe Mid-Morning
Markets are still sorting out the BOJ move overnight. At one point, they leaked a policy easing, but then later seemingly pulled it back. Finally they went in with an all out stimulus. I think there was a lot of politics involved in the decision with "Abenomics" under attack increasingly because it has not been working quickly enough.
Bottom-line, traders have walked away with the message, especially in the Eurozone and Japan, that the global economy is worse off that they thought. So it all boils down to perceptions about whether if this additional ease will work or not. This should be sorted out over the day today. At the moment, it is a tepid "RISK On " market.

Anyone who sold Euro yesterday at 1.0926, shows, that he knows nothing about ranges, much less about price targets.
My correct prediction Y.day for 1.0945(to the pip), made him red faced, sweating and blinded as his eyeglasses were covered with sweat steam.
When EURO kept on going up he was likely stopped(he always gain, never being stopped the liar), like his Sancho Panza friend on the forum who expressed anger and bitterness about negative interest rates.

USD/JPY - ...... Japan released a key set of data ahead of BoJ's monetary policy decision around Tokyo midday. Reuters reported Japan's core consumer prices rose 0.1 percent in December from a year earlier, government data showed today.
The core consumer price index, which includes oil products but excludes fresh food prices, matched economists' median estimate for a 0.1 percent annual gain.
The so-called core-core inflation index, which excludes food and energy prices and is similar to the core index used in the United States, rose 0.8 percent in the year to December.
Core consumer prices in Tokyo, available a month before the nationwide data, fell 0.1 percent in January from a year earlier, versus a 0.1 percent annual rise seen by analysts in a Reuters poll.
Reuters also reported Japan's industrial output fell 1.4 percent in December from the previous month, government data showed today, down for a second straight month in a sign that weakness in domestic and external demand is weighing on factory activity.
The reading compared with a median market forecast for a 0.3 percent decline in a Reuters poll of economists, data by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry showed.
Manufacturers surveyed by the ministry expect output to rise 7.6 percent in January and decline 4.1 percent in February, the data showed.
