The concept of independent voters is the myth of a bygone age -- just because they don't have PARTY affiliation doesn't make them independent - they have beliefs (most dangerous) and that makes them EVEN more unlikely to alter their voting preference

Fed wants 2% PCE x Food and Energy - REALLY? // Note the chart shows that the much maligned GREAT recession that allegedly caused all of this Fed angst occurred during the period when the Fed's "Preferred" inflation gauge was above 2% -- also note that the post recession spike above 2% was met with Bernanke's Panic // It is rare for the PCE ex F+E to be above 2% and is actually bad for the economy/finance especially when the FED maintains a negative yield

I ONLY POST THIS IN THE EVENT ONE OF THE FED MOPES ARE SEARCHING FOR "data"

I submit the Fed is the cause of the problem rather than the solution

  • The Fed policy minutes were not nearly as hawkish as I had been expecting. Worries continue to be expressed about missing inflation targets. A rate hike in December is still POSSIBLE, but it is by no means a done deal, especially if future data remain mixed. The yield on the 10-yr note eased after the release.

  • The Minutes often are often shaded after the Fed Meeting to reflect the current thinking of the bank, so they often are new news.

  • Other than after the Fed Minutes, trading activity was mostly subdued due to the Yom Kippur observances. The economic calendar is light again Thursday, but picks up again on Friday when U.S. Retail Sales are due.

  • The GBP bounced back on the day on word PM May has offered Parliament a chance to vote on her Brexit plan. She does not envision a vote on Brexit itself.

  • As for the U.S. Presidential election contest, it seems the Republican party leadership sees it as a lost cause are are focusing now on trying to salvage the House and Senate races.

Vladimir Putin issues emergency call to Russians to return home amid world war fears.
RUSSIA’S Vladimir Putin has issued an emergency decree that all officials urgently repatriate any family members living abroad amid fears the world is about to be plunged into a new global conflict.

According to reports, the Russian leader has told diplomats of all ranks to “bring relatives home to the Motherland”.

Administration staff, politicians and public sector workers have been ordered to take their children out of foreign schools immediately.

Russian political analyst Stanislav Belkovsky told the Daily Star: “This is all part of the package of measures to prepare elites to some 'big war’.”
The worrying development – which follows after President Putin suddenly cancelled a visit to France – applies to all state employees.

Workers were reportedly told to pull their children out of school immediately, even if it was in the middle of term.

Anyone who fails to act will put their chances of promotion at risk, local media reported.

Putin's cancellation is the latest deterioration in ties between Moscow and the West.

Among the recommendations is for students in foreign universities to shift to Russian institutions.

Older citizens should also return to Russia, the diktat seen by Znak.com apparently states.

Sources said Russian officials were irritated by the fact that the children of Russia’s political elite were being educated abroad, while there parents were seen “talking about patriotism but surrounded by Russia’s enemies”.

Putin: White House uses Russia scaremongering to manipulate Americans
Reply

The Obama administration is dragging Russia into the US presidential election to manipulate American voters for the benefit of Hillary Clinton, Russian President Vladimir Putin said......

“They caused this [anti-Russian] hysteria with a sole goal to distract the public from the essence of what the hackers leaked,” Putin said at an economic forum in Moscow, referring to the hacking allegations.

“It’s basically a way of manipulating public opinion, but for some reason nobody discusses that. They only talk about who did it.”

Putin dismissed the notion that the leaks were in line with Russian goals. The Democrat camp claims that Moscow favors Donald Trump as the next US president and is using cyberwarfare to manipulate the outcome of the November vote.

“They say it was in Russia’s interest. There are no Russian interests involved,” he stated.....

“They made Russia a priority issue of the entire campaign. Everyone is talking about Russia. It may be flattering, but only partially. Because all participants of this process indulge in anti-Russian rhetoric and poison the relations between our states,” Putin said. “This is bad for both our countries and the international community.”

Deutsche Bank faces highest borrowing costs among European peers

Deutsche Bank pays more to borrow from other banks than its peers including stragglers in Greece and Italy, Euribor data showed on Tuesday, a trend that underscores the gravity of the problems facing Germany's flagship lender.

Deutsche is the only bank to pay to borrow over a 9 or 12-month period of a group of 21 lenders, which are polled to determine the price of interbank borrowing for the wider sector.

The reading puts Deutsche in a worse position even than Italy's embattled Monte dei Paschi or the National Bank of Greece, due to concerns over a likely multi-billion-euro legal penalty for misselling toxic mortgage securities.

"Oct 12 Sterling jumped back above $1.23 on Wednesday, trading up 1.5 percent on the day after Britain's prime minister offered to give lawmakers some scrutiny of the process to leave the European Union, calming worries about a "hard Brexit".

Theresa May made her offer to lawmakers and said it came with the condition that they do not "undermine" her negotiations with the 27 other members of the bloc.

Fears that Britain will give up full access to the EU's single market in order to impose maximum control on its borders - a scenario known as "hard Brexit" - drove sterling to a 31-year low last week, with the currency briefly plunging as low as $1.1491 on Friday, finishing the week just above $1.24..."

  • Trading activity appears to be modestly subdued due to holiday observances. The economic calendar is light again until later in the day when the Minutes from the latest Fed meeting are released.

  • The Minutes often are often shaped to reflect the current thinking of the bank, so they often are new news and can move the markets.

  • U.S. interest rates continue to rise with the yield on the 10-yr note a key focus. Higher interest U.S. have been a weight on shares and have given the USD a boost. The Fed appears to have finally been successful in convincing the markets that a policy tightening by year-end is likely.

  • The GBP has bounced back sharply today on word PM May is offering Parliament a chance to vote on her Brexit plan. It is not a vote on Brexit itself.

GBP/USD - 1.2322.. Sterling took centre stage in Asia trading and staged a spectacular rally from 1.2107 in early Australian morning to as high as 1.2326. Traders attributed to cable's stellar performance on early sterling-supportive report on Bloomberg.

BLP reported PM Theresa May has accepted that Parliament should be allowed to vote on her plan for taking Britain out of the European Union, but asked lawmakers to do it in a way that gives her space to negotiate.
The decision seemed to calm investors after they dumped the pound on concern May was taking a gung-ho approach to the negotiations. The currency took a beating after May signaled her intention to put immigration curbs before the City of London's interests in pulling Britain out of the European Union.

Parliament will debate on Wednesday a motion from the opposition Labour Party calling for a "full and transparent debate on the government's plan for leaving the EU" and for Parliament to be able to "properly scrutinize that plan" before she begins formal talks. The request is supported by some lawmakers from May's own Conservative Party.

In response, May late on Tuesday tabled an amendment that effectively accepted the motion, adding that there shouldn't be an attempt to block Brexit or "undermine the negotiating position of the government."

A look at the debate about the role of Parliament in Brexit and why it matters.

The pound is the world's worst-performing major currency against the greenback this month, sinking more than 5 percent. The currency clawed back some ground in early Asian trading on Wednesday, gaining 1.3 percent.
Against this backdrop, a London Court this week will rule whether May can trigger Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, which starts an exit, without approval from her fellow lawmakers.

Forex Forum

The Global-View Forex Forum is the hub for currency trading on the web. Founded in 1996, it was the original forex forum and is still the place where forex traders around the globe come 24/7 looking for currency trading ideas, breaking forex news, fx trading rumors, fx flows and more. This is where you can find a full suite of forex trading tools, including a complete fx database, forex chart points, live currency rates, and live fx charts. In addition, there is a forex brokers directory where you can compare forex brokers. There is also a forex brokers hotline where you can ask for help choosing a forex broker that meets your individual fx trading needs. Interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading.

Forex News

The forex forum is where traders come to discuss the forex market. It is one of the few places where forex traders of all levels of experience, from novice to professionals, interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading. There is also the GVI Forex, which is a private subscription service where professional and experienced currency traders meet in a private forex forum. it is like a virtual forex trading room. This is open to forex traders of all levels of experience to view but only experienced currency tradingprofessionals can post.

Currency Trading

Currency trading charts are updated daily using the forex trading ranges posted in the Global-View forex database. You will also find technical indicators on the fx trading charts, e.g. moving averages for currencies such as the EURUSD. This is another forex trading tool provided by Global-View.com.

Forex Brokers

The forex database can be used to access high, low, close daily forex ranges for key currency pairs, such as the EURUSD, USDJPY, USDCHF, GBPUSD, USDCAD, AUD, NZD and major crosses, including EURJPY, EURGBP, EURCHF, GBPJPY, GBPCHF and CHFJPY. Data for these currency trading pairs dating back to January 1, 1999 can be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet.

Forex Trading

Forex chart points are in a currency trading table that includes; latest fx tradinghigh-low-close range, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci retracement levels, daily forex pivot points support and resistance levels, average daily forex range, MACD for the different currency trading pairs. You can look on the forex forum for updates when one of the fx trading tools is updated.
