Forex Trading Outlook: Get on the Right Side and Stop P-ssing Away Money
Reply

As I noted last week it was a matter of when, not if the EURUSD would make a run at 1.15 but the move through it proved short-lived as the dollar staged a recovery. This sets the stage for the week ahead, which  is likely to start out on a cautious note as the economic calendar is a light one. Markets will be looking for fresh direction as correlations are not working to the same degree as earlier in the year. In my video outlook, I show you a way to get on the right side and to how to stop p-ssing away money trading.

wick and two tails on last two hourly candles suggests a bit of indecision. topside stops done on initial flash high but lower not really done. below 114 would see them taken then maybe a squeeze towards 11460/65 over a few hours. in truth 2 or 3 reports identical to this and fed raises but first one and some sees weakening jobs growth while others grasp at rising wages, hence indecision.

Big players, were pushing the USD higher against some currencies, in a hope the NFP will play it into their hands, and currencies like the Euro will collapse upon data.
But the contrary happened, and they are trying now the best by keeping pushing the USD up, to save their wrong positioning.

Bank of England set to end monthly rate meetings after new law passes
Reply
The Bank of England will later this year move to a schedule of eight monetary policy meetings a year rather than 12, after reforms to Britain's central bank became law on Wednesday.

The BoE wants to follow the example of the U.S. Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank and hold interest rate-setting meetings every six weeks, rather than once a month.

The change needed legislation to pass through the British parliament, and the BoE said the soonest it would skip a monthly meeting would be in October 2016.

RBA cash rate heading to zero: leading analyst

Bank economists have been quick to adjust their interest rate predictions in light of the RBA's comments on inflation. Whereas previously the majority reckoned on no change to the Cash Rate until next year and then at that time there would be an increase, the lot of them are now calling it down to 1.5%, with one predicting a change next month and the rest calling a change in August. The cash rate futures contract is marking at 100% 25 bp cut by December.

We're in for an interesting couple of months with a federal election likely to be announced this weekend for July 2.

Trading Themes --
  • The April non-farm Payrolls report today could set the tone for USD trade in the month ahead. Despite the soft ADP jobs data (+156K) on Wednesday, professional forecasters are clinging to forecasts for an increase of +200K in the month. The ADP data generally are not seen as reliable. The +/- 200K line is a psychological benchmark. Many have been planning based on a pick up in growth in 2Q16, and a sub-200K reading would be a disappointment.

  • Large fires in the Aberta oil sands region of Canada persist and have some worried about oil production in the near future. Even though this is a major global oil production area, no fundamental lasting impact is seen once they are extinguished. WTI is trading lower at this hour.

  • The April EUrozone PMI Retail PMI fell fUrther into contraction in the month. This is not a first-tier data release, but is another piece of the larger picture. The London election for Mayor is being held today. Local elections might provide some indirect insights into leanings about the Brexit vote on June 23.

Price initual edged higher at 107.42 at Asian open but fell to 107.04 on renewed cross-buying in yen, led by active selling in aud/yen cross after RBA downgraded its inflation outlook in in quarterly Monetary Policy Statement released at 01:30GMT.

Japanese financial reopen today after 3 days of closure due to Golden Week holiday and with the Nikkie down 113 points together with losses in Asian bourses, consolidation with downside bias is expected in European morning.

The Global-View Forex Forum is the hub for currency trading on the web. Founded in 1996, it was the original forex forum and is still the place where forex traders around the globe come 24/7 looking for currency trading ideas, breaking forex news, fx trading rumors, fx flows and more. This is where you can find a full suite of forex trading tools, including a complete fx database, forex chart points, live currency rates, and live fx charts. In addition, there is a forex brokers directory where you can compare forex brokers. There is also a forex brokers hotline where you can ask for help choosing a forex broker that meets your individual fx trading needs. Interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading.

Forex News

The forex forum is where traders come to discuss the forex market. It is one of the few places where forex traders of all levels of experience, from novice to professionals, interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading. There is also the GVI Forex, which is a private subscription service where professional and experienced currency traders meet in a private forex forum. it is like a virtual forex trading room. This is open to forex traders of all levels of experience to view but only experienced currency tradingprofessionals can post.

Currency trading charts are updated daily using the forex trading ranges posted in the Global-View forex database. You will also find technical indicators on the fx trading charts, e.g. moving averages for currencies such as the EURUSD. This is another forex trading tool provided by Global-View.com.
