"My generation gave former tenured economics professors discretionary authority to fabricate money and to fix interest rates.
We put the cart of asset prices before the horse of enterprise.
We entertained the fantasy that high asset prices made for prosperity, rather than the other way around.
We actually worked to foster inflation, which we called 'price stability' (this was on the eve of the hyperinflation of 2017).
We seem to have miscalculated."

nh- I have nothing but the greatest respect for your opinions. My "default setting" was meant to be for June or July. I think the FED guys are on the defensive and now will be trying to make up for their earlier error. In betting its called doubling down!

Forex Trading Outlook for the Week Ahead
The Fed has put a rate hike back on the radar and the forex market has acted accordingly by taking the dollar higher. At a minimum, this should put a limit on the dollar downside in what should be a data dependent market going forward. In the coming week, the US economic calendar is relatively light with 2nd tier reports. Several Fed officials are due to speak, including Yellen. See key levels to watch in my week ahead outlook video.
