- The top focus for traders Tuesday will be the latest U.S. Retail Sales Report. The U.S. economy is driven by the consumer, so this is a key release. Dealers will want to look beyond the headline figures to the core and retail Sales ex-autos and gas for a better evaluation of the underlying strength of the economy. U.K. CPI data are awaited as well.
- Monday was a choppy session for forex trading with participants waiting for the better part of the day for the results of the latest Brexit Poll which came in 53% in favor of "leave" vs. 47% for "stay". Momentum recently has turned in favor of the leave camp, but betting odds still favor "stay". The U.K. Brexit vote takes place next week on Thursday June 23.
- Late last week saw a move out of some of the lower quality EZ debt. This is due to worry on how a U.K. exit vote could undermine EU unity. German, Japan and US government paper are preferred since they are generally seen as safer. On this score, increased demand for gold makes sense.
- This a big week for central bank decisions with the BOJ, FED, BOE and SNB all announcing their policies. I don't see any of them changing rates.

use blips higher to sell cable. plenty still needing to hedge and polls are swinging in favour of leave which means buying dips is skewed with risk. as i said last year, the result will be leave, they just dont know it yet.

Have you heard about forex you could be making money online easily.
The dollar looks weaker in the Forex market against the Japanese yen. Now the pair has approached a strong support level from which price has bounced several times. But we hope that the bears manage to break the level of protection and lower quotes even lower, because below this level no protection there. The nearest support level more than 150 points. Of course, the bulls have a chance, as before, from level to raise the price, but if they are not strong enough to do it, and the game will include traders working on the slide.

- Markets are jittery heading into the U.K. Brexit vote next week on Thursday June 23. Worry about the uncertainty the vote presents has seen investors reducing their exposure to equities the GBP and EUR.
- Late last week saw a move out of some of the lower quality EZ debt. This is due to worry on how a U.K. exit vote could undermine EU unity. Logically German, Japan and US government paper are preferred since they are generally seen as safer. On this score, increased demand for gold would make sense as well.
- As for forex, the USD and JPY are logical refuges well. Gold demand has also picked up. By the same token, the EUR and GBP will be avoided.
- This a big week for central bank decisions with the BOJ, FED, BOE and SNB all announcing their policies. I don't see any of them changing rates.

Reply
13 Jun 2016 01:28
USD/JPY - ....... Despite a brief gain to 107.01 at New Zealand open, price retreated ahead of Asian open and fell to 106.38 as intra-day decline in Nikkei triggered broad-based buying in yen (N225 index is currently down 2.65% to 16163).
As investors are cautious ahead of this week's central bank meetings as well as Britain's June 23 referendum on whether to remain in the European Union, and are no economic data from U.S. today, suggesting choppy trading with downside bias would be seen but May's 18-month trough at 105.55 should remain intact.
At present, offers are noted at 106.80-90 n more at 107.00-10 with stops above 107.30, whilst bids are reported at 106.30-20 and then 106.10-00 with stops below there.

Brexit Polls
The Opinium Poll, commissioned by the Brexit-backing Bruges Group think tank, is further evidence that the Leave camp is gaining support and delivers the biggest margin of victory for Brexit so far, after giving voters the option of a choice of free trade agreements with the EU.
It found 52 per cent chose to leave the EU, with only 33 per cent choosing to keep the status quo.
End of EU rule FINALLY in sight: Leave camp take 19-POINT lead as Britons flock to Brexit
