Trading Themes --
- In addition to the upcoming Brexit vote the wek ahead will see the key German ZEW and IFo Surveys. Flash PMI data for June are slated as well.
- Markets are taking a cautious stance into the Brexit vote Thursday. The vote should be close. The latest polls have been showing the "Stay" vote closing in on "Leave". Many political experts are expecting last minute deciders to favor "Stay".
- The dovishness of the latest U.S. Federal Reserve policy decision last week surprised markets after its unexpected dovish turn. Fed Funds futures odds on a rate hike in July are now a scant 6% and they only price in 40% odds on one hike by year-end.
- The German Bund closed last week at -0.020%, +2.0bp on profit-taking. Fixed Income traders nvestors within the Eurozone last week were buying German paper and selling lower quality EZ debt. Flight to safety demand is due to worry a U.K. exit vote could undermine the entire EU experiment. The U.S. 10-yr was 1.607% +3.5bp.

Day trading strategies on GOLD 17-06-2016 by AzaForex forex broker
The rate of Gold yesterday drastically changed after fresh news. During last days it was possible to observe a growing trend. Gold was growing every day, and it seemed that it would never end. But yesterday everything changed. Within minutes, the mood of traders and investors have taken completely the opposite direction. Such abrupt changes in rates in the Forex market rarely stops without future movement. Therefore, you can count on a further reduction in rates, at a penetration level of support. If the bearish sentiment in the stock market will continue, we will open a short position.
On the bearish sentiment indicates that the average out of the MACD histogram.
The MACD trend indicator is below zero level now, indicating bearish movement.
If the support level is broken you can use the following recommendation:
• Chart timeframe: H4
• The trade recommendation: Sell
• The level of entry into short position 1276
• The level of profit and close the position: 1264 (1200 pips)

Too Much To Handle: Fed And Brexit?
Yellen can expect a Crossfire in Congress - Dems will be after her for Econ outlook, bank coddling and senior savings deprivation (incl pension funds) - Repubs will be critical of Fed in general, populist themes (quasi Trump doctrine)
Her wonky expert approach won't play well in an election year that has the Great Unwashed rising w/ pitchforks in both parties

Too Much To Handle: Fed And Brexit?
There is another unknown for UK after Brexit vote - the Chilcot Report (finally) is expected - this should be just a mere retrospective without consequence (like the US 9/11 Commission) BUT there could be a political split in Labor similar to the Brexit split in Conservatives
Combine Leave vote together w/ the do-gooder Vindictive EU, Cameron, Blair and Corbyn w/ a dash of SNP for a pungent Political Stew

Too Much To Handle: Fed And Brexit?

Finally The Brexit Vote
This week on Thursday, June 23, the U.K. will finally hold its referendum on whether it should leave the EU ("BREXIT"). The vote is non-binding, but if it passes it is expected to put into motion actions to eventually exit the U.K. from the EU. If it passes, it could also see the Cameron Government fall and possibly trigger national elections.
