They should pray that a relative stable Euro will save the situation.

And should pray for a close above 1.3333.

Or wait for another rise to come.

  • Instability related due to the Brexit vote appeared to be abating early today, but its picked up again about mid-way in the N.Y. session. The catayst for instability Thursday was comments by Bank of England Governor Carney who made comments on the U.K. economy which were much more dovish than expected. Carney warned about a rate cut over the summer due to the expected softness of the economy.

  • Talk about a new round of central bank ease gave European equities a boost late in their day which carried over into the U.S. The equity to S&P correlation broke down over the day as crude oil fell. We will watch this relationship closely on Friday. The yield on the U.S. 10-yr is back at 1.478% -2.9bps. Still, in my opinion, any yield below 1.70% is seriously depressed.

  • This remains an active week for U.S. data. The week concludes with the long Independence Day weekend. Friday features an avalanche of monthly PMI data.

If ever there was a presence of The PPT to be found, we note that the last 3 days are the first time since the August crash rebound that The Dow has ripped over 200 points from the open to the high.

Makes sense - if The PPT is going to step in then they will want cash investors to take the momentum... not overnight futures traders.

Here are some things to know regarding foreign exchange traders.
There is nothing clear in Forex market now. All currency pairs freezes in anticipation of a miracle. All more or less clear movement of the foreign exchange market purchased the flat variety. Frankly, we would advise traders, if they have open positions, to reduce their number, and if you have not had time to enter into the market do not rush too much with it. Summer came and now is the time to rest and relax in nature.
The rate of Gold does not look particularly impressive, but each price cut less and less, which indicates that Gold has its own buyers. Taking into account that there is nothing special to trade with and the price of gold rose last few days, you can try to catch a large price movement of the trend.

The price is above a simple moving average 200 MA indicating bullish trend.
The MACD trend indicator is above zero level now, indicating bullish movement.

If the resistance level is broken you can use the following recommendation:
• Chart timeframe: H4
• The trade recommendation: Buy
• The level of entry into long position: 1328
• The level of profit and close the position: 1340 (1200 pips)

The news-piece I posted(about French foreign minister Michel Sapin) for some reason, didn't spread in the media; Possibly it didn't fit to some institutions?

Now he is also suggesting another deal; UK banks and financial services may be transferred to the EU as part of Brexit, according to Michel Sapin, the French finance minister.

"Certain big institutions could be tempted, and we should take them into account, to transfer some of their activities to the territory of the EU to have free, direct and simple access to the full range of markets and financial operations. We should prepare for this," Sapin said in an interview with BBC Newsnight.

UK banks fear they may lose passporting, or the ability to do business with the whole of the EU. Banks and other companies are discussing whether they will need to move European headquarters to the EU to keep the same privileges.

France may offer the UK membership of the European Economic Area. This would give the UK single market access. But it may seek to exclude passporting in return for the migration cap that was so important to Leave campaigners in the run up to the referendum.

That would mean that in order to guarantee the migration cap, the UK may have to cede its position as a global financial centre. City executives have said that they expect this to happen as the rest of Europe tries to give governments in France and the Netherlands a boost, to avoid the rise of the far right and the threat of other countries leaving the EU.
So no deal yet on the horizon!

  • Instability related due to the Brexit vote appears to be abating as markets adjust to new realities. Equities have been recovering for the better part of the week following an initial sell-off. Bargain-hunters by now have found most of their bargains and many now will be cautious in to quarter-end today and on Friday into a long U.S. weekend. The flight to safety bid in sovereign debt markets has abated as well.

  • The equity to S&P correlation has working again as the algos are back in force. Higher oil prices have been helpful for the depressed energy sector and help stocks generally. Higher equities are also an indicative of a reduction in flight to safety demand. The yield on the U.S. 10-yr is back at 1.543% +3.6bps. Still, in my opinion, any yield below 1.70% is seriously depressed.

  • This remains an active week for U.S. data. The week concludes with the long Independence Day weekend. Thursday features weekly U.S Jobless Claims and the Chicago PMI. Friday sees an avalanche of monthly PMI data.

French say Britain COULD have trade deal and control its borders in a major boost for hopes of a smo
Reply

Will you long GBP based on this story? Try!

France last night signalled the EU could strike a deal with Britain on immigration.

In a major boost for hopes of a smooth exit for the UK, finance minister Michel Sapin said there would be no ‘red lines’ in talks over the single market.

His declaration of flexibility was backed by Finland’s deputy PM. The first signs of a crack in the EU’s united front came as stock markets rallied and fears of a post-Brexit economic slump eased.

Mr Sapin’s remarks raised hopes of a new British prime minister being able to negotiate continued access to the single market while also stemming the flow of EU arrivals. On another extraordinary day of Brexit fallout:
France said Britain’s border deal at Calais would stay in place;
The FTSE 100 rose again, making up all the losses it suffered after last week’s referendum;
Theresa May and Boris Johnson prepared to launch their Tory leadership campaigns today;
Labour endured a fourth day of civil war with Angela Eagle set to challenge Jeremy Corbyn today for the leadership;
A pro-Remain minister was accused of being drunk by a fellow MP.

Mrs May will pledge there can be no turning back on Brexit and the wishes of the British public must be implemented in full, including curbs on migrants. She will appoint a Eurosceptic MP as a cabinet minister for Brexit.

IMF. Deutsche bank poses greatest risk to the world financial system.

Like with VW the german government and the regularor know the problem but look in another direction. The problem detection once again comes from the USA where Deutsche bank branch failed the stress tests.

USD/JPY - ...... Although the greenback extended yesterday's intra-day rise to 103.02 in Australia, profit-taking knocked price lower to 102.61 in Tokyo morning, despite the release of weak industrial output figures from Japan.

In Asia, investors should pay attention to the release of Japan's housing starts and construction output for May at 05:00GMT.
Later, focus for the greenback should turn into the weekly initial jobless claims from U.S. and Chicago PMI in New York morning, then the speech from Fed's Bullard (17:30GMT).

At present, bids are reported at 102.50-40 and more at 102.30-20 with mixture of bids and stops in the region of 102.10-101.90.
On the upside, offers are noted at 102.80-90 and then 103.00-10 with stops above there.

It is N0.1 manipulation target of Cbs, to show that everything is ok and things do return to normal.

Looking at the crosses, suggest that for longer term there is more room to the upside.

Those who used it recently(sell U/J) as a safe haven may encounter losses.

There is also a forex brokers hotline where you can ask for help choosing a forex broker that meets your individual fx trading needs. Interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading.

Forex News

The forex forum is where traders come to discuss the forex market. It is one of the few places where forex traders of all levels of experience, from novice to professionals, interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading. There is also the GVI Forex, which is a private subscription service where professional and experienced currency traders meet in a private forex forum. it is like a virtual forex trading room. This is open to forex traders of all levels of experience to view but only experienced currency tradingprofessionals can post.

Data for these currency trading pairs dating back to January 1, 1999 can be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet.

Forex Trading

Forex chart points are in a currency trading table that includes; latest fx tradinghigh-low-close range, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci retracement levels, daily forex pivot points support and resistance levels, average daily forex range, MACD for the different currency trading pairs.
