Transfer of embassy to Jerusalem a significant market event

you want weapons? drones? run a revolutionary movement? protect your regime? - make sure you have USD available....

markets can reason a move due to a farting donkey but it does not mean that's the real reason.... an embassy in one or another city is not a reason for USD valuation. conflict along vietnam coastline when China involved that's a market mover not US embassy location in Israel.

None of this small manipulation will affect the USD - the ripple effects only matter to countries that can't change their currency status

It is just the right thing Trump should do, a big historical move; A move equivalent to that of king Cyrus.

Jews inhabited Jerusalem for thousands of years, were the majority in the city even after exile.

The so called Palestinians are dripping in Arab-population outsiders over the centuries, have zero rights of authority on the city.

$3B annually the next 12 years and there will be zero terror in/from Palestine/Gaza.I went deep to check World Vision, those are the real terrorists, their belief in Jesus and promoting/missionary Christianity if far above truly helping the local population. when you see/meet World Vision Christian manager/ambassador be aware that you face blood thirsty hypocrite crooks. that's the cancer NGO spreads.

not an issue from my perspective, no active military aid to the Palestinians about Jerusalem. all hot air from the Palestinians. I would ask and suggest the global community to solve all this problem with $3B annually (for 12 years) for educational purposes, sports and only for youth support on the Palestinian side. Israel can survive very well if the US aid will move from Israel to the Palestinians...

I have the whole plan to the smallest details... contact me if you are serious about ending the Israeli/Palestinian conflict ;-)

I have a quibble with the political concept of MANDATE and Congress -- you will see this issue in Congress as the members measure the MANDATE

The Simple Rule is did the President out poll me in the last election - if he did it's a MANDATE because I CAN"T oppose him - if he didn't I can oppose him on SOME things // If I won on a greater majority than last election I can vote against him with impunity

MANDATES are always local

It’s always tempting at the end of a presidency to compare various administrations’ records, but there’s some important context with Obama’s record: he inherited a global economic crisis unlike anything we’ve seen in the modern era. And yet, the president’s record on job creation – over 15 million jobs created during the last seven years – stacks up quite well, and easily surpasses the totals from recent GOP administrations.

The Washington Post noted the other day that going back to Eisenhower, there have been five Democratic administrations, and the unemployment rate went down during each of their tenures. There have been six Republican administrations over the same period, and the rate went up in five of the six. The exception was Reagan.

Democracy is about the peoples' representatives ruling for the majority with respect for the minority.Throughout his term in office Obama was faced with an intransigent Tea Party that refused to respect the President's mandate.

Forex Trading Outlook

  • The USD traded broadly weaker Thursday, as the disappointment over the Trump press conference Wednesday carried over for another day. Nevertheless, the unit is closing well off its lows vs. the majors. Markets had been hoping to see more in the way of an economic program from the new administration.

  • The GBPUSD has been the exception Thursday. It is lower vs. the USD and even weaker vs. the EUR. Markets continu to fret off and on about Brexit. This state of affairs is unlikely to change soon.

  • The top item of the week is retail sales data due on Friday. The retail sector is the main driver of the U.S. economy. Next Monday, U.S. markets are closed for the Martin Luther King Holiday. President-elect Trump will be inaugurated as President one week from Friday, on January 20.

Today the Fed released the full set of transcripts from its eight 2011 meetings, a year which was particularly tumultuous due to the end of QE2, the downgrade of the US AAA rating by S&P, and the peak of the European debt crisis. It was also the first year in which the Fed's hope of hiking rates "soon" was crushed as global deflation returned, eventually forcing the Fed to launch Project Twist and QE3.

The market will be lucky if he doesn't outright endorse a massive USD devaluation to benefit U.S. exports. Why anyone equated Trump with a stronger USD is beyond me. Ok I give you the bond market sell off and the higher yields that resulted - but really guys a domestic financial market which is ON THE SLIDE is not a reason to buy USDs. US troops enter Poland, 1st deployment to Russia's doorstep

Associated Press
VANESSA GERA
Associated PressJanuary 12, 2017

WARSAW, Poland (AP) — American soldiers rolled into Poland on Thursday, fulfilling a dream Poles have had since the fall of communism in 1989 to have U.S. troops on their soil as a deterrent against Russia.

Soldiers in camouflage with tanks and other vehicles crossed into southwestern Poland on Thursday morning from Germany and headed for Zagan, where they will be based. Their arrival will be feted on Saturday in official ceremonies attended by Poland's prime minister and defense minister.

U.S. and other Western nations have carried out exercises on NATO's eastern flank, but this deployment — which includes around 3,500 U.S. troops — marks the first-ever continuous deployment to the region by a NATO ally. It represents a commitment by President Barack Obama to protect a region that became deeply nervous when Russia annexed Crimea from Ukraine in 2014 and then began backing rebels in Ukraine's east.

But despite the celebrations, clouds hung over the historic moment. There are anxieties that the enhanced security could eventually be undermined by the pro-Kremlin views of President-elect Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Russia appears provoked by the deployment of American troops on its doorstep.

"We perceive it as a threat," President Vladimir Putin's spokesman Dmitry Peskov said. "These actions threaten our interests, our security."

"Especially as it concerns a third party building up its military presence near our borders," Peskov said in a conference call with reporters. "It's not even a European state."

Worries about the permanence of the new U.S. security commitments are rooted in a tragic national history in which Poland has often lost out in deals made over its head by the great powers.

Lokcheed, Boeing, Ford,.. and lately he blew off the Mexican peso.
Wait for the moment that he will say, that a strong USD, is not good for America.
The best economical news will not stand such a statement.

It will be simply a right statement!

WEEKLY HIGH IMPACT NEWS:
13-Jan Fri
13:30 US- Retail Sales
13:30 US- PPI
15:00 US- preliminary University of Michigan

Forex Trading Outlook

  • The USD is trading broadly weaker today. The Trump press conference Wednesday was generally a disappointment to traders hoping to see more in the way of an economic program from the new administration.

  • The reality of the U.S. political system is that radical changes are difficult to implement and take time with the Congress independent of the Executive branch of government. Even when Congress and the President are from the same party, the President cannot dictate policy to the legislative branch.

  • Thursday's calendar is light again in the way of potential market-moving news. U.S. weekly Jobless Claims are always a key release for economists, but markets rarely find anything in the data at current levels to elicit price volatility.

  • Trump will be inaugurated as President one week from Friday, on January 20.

  • The top item of the week is retail sales data due on Friday. Next Monday, U.S. markets will be closed for the Martin Luther King Holiday. President-elect Trump will be inaugurated as President one week from Friday, on January 20.

AceTrader Dec 12: Daily Recommendations on Major -USD/JPY
Reply
Update Time: 12 Jan 2017 09:20 GMT

USD/JPY - 114.03
Despite the greenback's intra-day resumption of decline from December's 10-1/2 month peak at 118.66 to 115.07 ahead of Asian open, subsequent rebound suggests a temporary low has been made and choppy trading with upside bias would be seen ahead of today's release of U.S. jobs report and gain towards 116.78/80 is likely.
However, 117.23 should remain intact and yield another retreat later.

On the downside, only below 115.07 would revive bearishness for a stronger retracement of medium-term decline towards 114.74, then 114.30 early next week.

This was a press conference for the general press not the financial press.
The main focus was with regard to the Russians and Trumps business interests.
Market is used to press conferences focusing on matters that relates to them.
See more volatility on the horizon.

Yes, Trump doesnt need strong usd to make America great again. He wants more jobs created so he needs more manufacturing going as well and so he needs to export those goods and thus he needs a lot weaker usd! Last december hike will be the famous last hike by the Fed, next is cut cut cut to join NIRP. Currency war is next.

The Global-View Forex Forum is the hub for currency trading on the web. Founded in 1996, it was the original forex forum and is still the place where forex traders around the globe come 24/7 looking for currency trading ideas, breaking forex news, fx trading rumors, fx flows and more. This is where you can find a full suite of forex trading tools, including a complete fx database, forex chart points, live currency rates, and live fx charts. In addition, there is a forex brokers directory where you can compare forex brokers. There is also a forex brokers hotline where you can ask for help choosing a forex broker that meets your individual fx trading needs. Interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading.

Forex News

The forex forum is where traders come to discuss the forex market. It is one of the few places where forex traders of all levels of experience, from novice to professionals, interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading. There is also the GVI Forex, which is a private subscription service where professional and experienced currency traders meet in a private forex forum. it is like a virtual forex trading room. This is open to forex traders of all levels of experience to view but only experienced currency tradingprofessionals can post.

Currency Trading

Currency trading charts are updated daily using the forex trading ranges posted in the Global-View forex database. You will also find technical indicators on the fx trading charts, e.g. moving averages for currencies such as the EURUSD. This is another forex trading tool provided by Global-View.com.

Forex Brokers

The forex database can be used to access high, low, close daily forex ranges for key currency pairs, such as the EURUSD, USDJPY, USDCHF, GBPUSD, USDCAD, AUD, NZD and major crosses, including EURJPY, EURGBP, EURCHF, GBPJPY, GBPCHF and CHFJPY. Data for these currency trading pairs dating back to January 1, 1999 can be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet.

Forex Trading

Forex chart points are in a currency trading table that includes; latest fx tradinghigh-low-close range, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci retracement levels, daily forex pivot points support and resistance levels, average daily forex range, MACD for the different currency trading pairs.
