Davos just declared that America is great again.

The World Economic Forum, which hosts the annual conference of global elites in Switzerland, said on Tuesday that the United States is the most competitive economy in the world.

The U.S. has not held the number one spot since 2008, when the aftermath of the financial crisis and bungled recovery efforts left the U.S. economy limping.

“The United States, as one of the world’s great innovation powerhouses, is very well positioned in this new competitive landscape,” the Forum said in an article explaining its ranking. “It ranks first overall in the world in three of our twelve pillars; business dynamism, labour markets and financial system. It comes second in another two; innovation (behind Germany) and market size (behind China).”

The U.S. is followed by Singapore, Germany, Switzerland, and Japan in the top five. The top ten includes the Netherlands, Hong Kong, the U.K., Sweden, and Denmark.

I have examined Donald Trump’s dubious background and associations thoroughly in multiple articles. To summarize, Trump has been tied to globalist financiers and think tank members for at least 25 years. He has nominated and/or stacked his cabinet with those same ghoulish people over the past two years.

To illustrate the severity of the problem, I suggest readers look into people like Wilber Ross, the Rothschild banking agent that bailed Trump out of his considerable Taj Mahal casino debts decades ago, who is now the Commerce Secretary.

Larry Kudlow, the director of the National Economic Council and an adviser to Trump is a former economist for the New York Federal Reserve. Steven Mnuchin, the Treasury Secretary, was prominent member of Goldman Sachs.

Trump is providing perfect cover for the banking elites to continue pulling life support from the system and imploding a 10-year bubble in stocks and bonds.

Trump is playing a special role in the globalist screenplay — that of the bumbling villain; the guy who had too much hubris and destroyed everything.

The Fed is nothing more than a branch of a franchise, and if closing it down wins the globalists more power in the long run, that is exactly what they will do. The IMF and BIS are being set up as the new "global Fed", and the game is about to change dramatically.

Trump’s scripted follies are not only setting the stage for a market crash which he and conservatives will be blamed for instead of the banking elites, they are also setting the stage for the death rattle of the dollar.

To answer the original question of who is to blame for the coming disaster — BOTH the Fed and Trump are to blame, as they are both playing their parts in the same false narrative.

Marc Burstein has been covering elections since 1998. Now the ABC News executive is gearing up for what he believes will be an event of seismic proportions.

The 2018 midterm elections on Nov. 6 were always going to be contentious, says Burstein, ABC News senior executive producer of special events, but in the wake of the confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, Republican and Democratic voters are energized in ways that no one had previously anticipated.

“I think this is absolutely the biggest midterm election in my time — and maybe a generation,” says Burstein. “We are treating this as if it were a presidential election.”

No Signs Of Brexit Fading As A Market Factor
Reply

John M. Bland, MBA, co-founder, Global-View.com

Brexit Talks Stalled? Headlines from the EU Brexit Summit are suggesting that negotiations between the U.K. and EU are stalled. U.K. Prime Minister May has nothing new to offer Brussels and in fact might have already offered more than she can deliver, and the EU negotiating strategy now appears to be to let talks drag on indefinitely until the U.K. reconsiders and holds a new referendum that the EU feels would not be approved. EU officials are already touting a “no-deal” Brexit Summit in November if no progress is made. They say that November 17-18th is no longer a definite Brexit Summit date. Reportedly, EU leaders are thought to have sympathy for PM May.

A new study released on Tuesday by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) claims a vast majority of women working as lawmakers or as parliamentary staff are subject to “acts of sexism, abuse and violence.”

The report, based on anonymous testimonies of 123 women (81 MPs and 42 staff members) from 45 European countries, says it provides insight into the workplace culture in the continent’s parliaments. Of all women interviewed, 47 percent said they had received threats of death, rape or beating.

Which is better trade , usdjpy long with stop at 111.90, gbp with stop below 1.32 or euro long stop below 1.1555 ? risk on will push usdjpy up towards 112.79 the 50ma .it had resistance at 112.25 which it broke through. euro looks like it ran stops and gave it all back, but at least it broke through. gbp is the other choice sitting right at support.

so IF the recent market sell-off "is not necessarily worrisome" (only a -3.15% blip), that begs for

significantly faster and deeper sell-off then
(say a -20% or -30% dump)
