Keep on pumping the Ponzi Stox up and up, to narcotize the masses, and make them believe that all is still ok for the coming few days.
Just believe in almighty PPT that will take care of your profits forever.
If China will find a creative way to strike back, expect the unexpected.
But likely the Ponzi US Stox will at least be shaken.
And if things may go wrong, at least there will be someone else to blame(China:)

The above, is a very strong point, where other world economies are slowing down because of trade war, which at last will engulf the US economy too. Falling of commodity prices and sanctions worldwide, may bring political instability in unexpected places. Rate hikes of the USD may not be so aggressive as expected.

Here is what it is showing: Bias is down with key level on top at 1.3175, with 1.3160 standing in front of it.

Support at 1.3120-30 briefly broken, a void below until 1.2919 with a 4 hour trendline at 1.3080 ahead of it.

So risk has been pointed down and USDCAD has traded accordingly., Friday's CDA jobs #s will be a key with BoC decision next week. Market likely to overreact to the data if any surprise in it.

German Chancellor Merkel Survives Leadership Crisis. Bank Of England to Hike?
Reply

John M. Bland, MBA, co-founder, Global-View.com

Merkel To Survive? Late Monday, word got out that German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Interior Minister Horst Seehofer had reached an agreement which ended a two-week face-off over immigration. The dispute between two parties in the ruling coalition had threatened to break up the government. Merkel has staked her legacy on welcoming hundreds of thousands of migrants into Germany. She agreed on Monday on camps for those seeking asylum and to tighten the border with Austria to rescue her government. The plan envisions setting up holding centers at the German border for refugees already registered in other European Union countries

What does it mean to trade like an algo?

Jay .... re "so they may lack the flexibility" is a big leap.
operative word being "so" and "may".
-
I submit that massive data inflow on top of very fast connections between computers, massive computational power of even only personal computers parsing the speed and magnitude of the dynamics of exchange rates allows even simple coded algos to trade flexibly as they adjust - say with a 1/100 or 1/1000 of second lag to market dynamic - such as for example adjusting decision to trade or not - like for ex when spread should exceed s/l - adjusting ticket size and adjusting trailing s/l or t/p based on incoming strength of impulse or even reversal in it.

btw the 1/100 or 1/1000 second is actually , in this day of state of technology, a minimum standard of speed. My algo for example continuously monitors the round speed of a signal between my computer and my dealer and takes that into account as it makes its trading decisions. And I am just a regular retail schlep on a basic domestic internet connection communicating with a dealer whose server sits many thousands of miles away competing with computers that are connected at speed of light (299,792,458 meters per second)

Algos are mindless and function according to the logic programmed into them. One issue with algos is that markets rarely operate like a textbook so they may lack the flexibility to adapt to a change in trading conditions.

Thinking and trading like our algo is different.

The Amazing Trader algo, is designed to highlight patterns in the market using the trading levels/lines it generates to trade following its decision rules. It has the flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions. It continuously highlights opportunities for trading

So imagine being able to put yourself in the mind of our algo but rather than ceding control, you are able to execute trades using its logic. For us it is the best of both worlds.

Iran threatens to block Strait of Hormuz

Tehran, Vienna: The commander of the Al Quds Force in the Revolutionary Guards on Wednesday said Iran will block oil shipments through the Hormuz Strait if US President Donald Trump stops Iranian oil sales.
Qassem Solaimani’s comments came as President Hassan Rouhani pledged that Iran will stand firm against US threats to cut Iranian oil sales and said Washington had not thought about the consequences of such a move.

“The Americans say they want to reduce Iranian oil exports to zero... It shows they have not thought about its consequences,” Rouhani was quoted as saying by state news agency Irna on an official visit to Vienna.
Rouhani’s comments echoed his remarks on Tuesday when he hinted at a threat to disrupt oil shipments from neighbouring countries if Washington presses ahead with its goal of forcing all countries to stop buying Iranian oil.

EUR good chance for 1.1720 and later 1.1800 should be placed on watch.

If I shall use cryptic title then... Mtl JP will comerush out and accuse me of not being specific about the trade.
Anyway I am not here to satisfy anyone. What is sure is that EUR for the moment is heavily shorted by traders and may move up easily, at least by short squeeze.

The Global-View Forex Forum is the hub for currency trading on the web. Founded in 1996, it was the original forex forum and is still the place where forex traders around the globe come 24/7 looking for currency trading ideas, breaking forex news, fx trading rumors, fx flows and more. This is where you can find a full suite of forex trading tools, including a complete fx database, forex chart points, live currency rates, and live fx charts. In addition, there is a forex brokers directory where you can compare forex brokers. There is also a forex brokers hotline where you can ask for help choosing a forex broker that meets your individual fx trading needs. Interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading.

Forex News

The forex forum is where traders come to discuss the forex market. It is one of the few places where forex traders of all levels of experience, from novice to professionals, interact on the same venue to discuss forex trading. There is also the GVI Forex, which is a private subscription service where professional and experienced currency traders meet in a private forex forum. it is like a virtual forex trading room. This is open to forex traders of all levels of experience to view but only experienced currency tradingprofessionals can post.
