leaving that aside , reading that stocks went nuts on some prospect of potential trade yaks between china and u.s *allegedly scheduled for Aug 22-23
wsj tries to clarify the issue a bit:
1) it is a very low level / grade delegation
2) discussions would represent lower-level, exploratory talks that could be a way for both sides to save face should progress prove elusive, said individuals briefed on the discussions. would, could, should... haha
3) Another item on the agenda, the individuals said, is China�s currency, the yuan.
With Xi making a monkey out of President Trump (leaving aside the munchkin monkey) by way of a 10% yuan drop vs the usd since April to try to mitigate the impact of tariffs I just do not see why WHY President Trump should not swing a lead brick inside a velour bag at this pathetic low level chinese yakker delegation. It is just a waste of time.
