LOL Pfizer CEO--knows something?
so this isnt a vaccine trade. its btfd dip rules whatever the outcome of any election, incident or problem. last election they feared trump then apparently he spoke statesman like during the first day. the rule is stocks are too big to fail, everyone knows it esp. the fed. call it the vaccine trade but thousands more will die in america in coming weeks and mkt wont care as TINA esp with more stimulus coming. the only kryptonite is the 10. if the yield breaks 1 and the fed cant contain then maybe there is a larger dip (to buy). otherwise nothing changes. there is simply just too much money looking for a home. yes in the hands of the few, but its still there.

viruses are crap at producing ideal copies of each other ie mutation chance is higher. also their is more than one influenza and so the flu jab isnt always effective for them. hence yes technically that pfizer vaccine may be 90% effective against that one strain, but it is unlikely to be anywhere near as effective against any others. add in the transport temp (minus 80) and probably news on this is as good as its going to get ie that 90% is going lower not higher.

French officials have urged their nationals to exercise "maximum vigilance" and to avoid all gatherings in Jeddah.

The Wash Post is Bezos's lobbying vehicle so he'll keep that, starving the staff, you may have noticed that all the real investigative reporters have left.
It's a new wideopen landscape, there is a ton of money to be made, but not by running more propaganda outlets.

Master Class: How to Use Crosses to Trade Spot FX
This article is worth repeating (note how a weaker EURGBP is driving EURUSD and GBPUSD)

If I told you that there was a large order in the market to buy EUR and sell GBP would you be looking to sell EURUSD and buy GBPUSD, do the opposite or step aside as the order gets executed? As outsiders, we are not privy to the flows in the market and due to increased regulation, banks that are executing the orders no longer pass on the information. All we are left with is guesswork but the price action in major crosses, such as EURGBP, EURJPY, GBPJPY, etc. can give a clue to the cross flows and how to use this information to trade spot fx.

Personal Observations:
Expect a subdued session today with U.S. and Canadian banks closed for what was once called Armistice Day, marking the end of WWI. There are also ceremonies in Europe as well. Equity markets are open but bond markets are closed. Brexit talks have missed another deadline but this is not surprising as negotiations never seem to get serious until a "real" hard deadline is reached.
Keep an eye on equities and the EURGBP cross again today.

ECB = Soviet-style capital allocation.
Soviet-style allocation bureaucrats lead to the fall of the Soviet-union.
Lagarde brought up in communist France wants to go in that direction. French intellectuals all were great admirers of the Soviet-Union and Cuba but one would assume in 2020 they would have become smarter.
Either way, on Monday Lagarde gave her bluntest warning yet that she’s not happy with the status quo, saying that “climate risks are not adequately priced.” The president is stepping into controversial territory. Some policy makers have fiercely defended market neutrality, under which the composition of the ECB’s asset-purchase programs match the structure of the market as closely as possible. T

Biden vs.Trump
Reply
People have short memory. When Trump was elected in 2016 the reaction against him was vehement, mostly by democrats. He got his money from his father….he had so many bankruptcies—he is a loser… he is a womanizer….. Ivana, the Czech-American businesswoman was the brain behind his successes (running the hotels and such)…he is a pu$$Y grabber, he is rude ("you are fired!")…..what a loser.
I adored him. I said that if a man with such a losing record won the presidency—he must be a real genius. He was. Most of his presidency was a list of very good things and correction of Socialist and Muslim befriend-er Obama. I was right.
Now we have the flip side of the coin. Biden won and the same derogations fill the air.
A few quote from GVI: "president who stayed in his basement, didn't campaign much and had sparse attendance at public gatherings?"……He is old...he mumbles… he had brain surgeries…he is "sleepy Joe"….He will be a puppet of Obama….He won by cheating….
Well that reminds me dear old Rush:
"I'm your host, Rush Limbaugh, with half my brain tied behind my back - just to keep the playing fields even."
If Biden is so weak and stupid—the fact that he won the elections (fair and square!) says he is a genius.
Same words, same situation, very similar reactions –we shall see the results soon.
Remember Bill Saluga:
Now you can call me Ray, or you can call me J, or you can call me Johnny, or you can call me Sonny, or you can call me Junie, or you can call me Junior; now you can call me Ray J, or you can call me RJ, or you can call me RJJ, or you can call me RJJ Jr. . ."but you doesn't hasta call me Johnson!"

you clearly had it better than we did in the uk, where once the broker picked up you had to first exchange pleasantries (especially in it was "your guy") before he took your order especially if the first call of the day and only then he sent your order off to the pit.
many a lesson was learnt in that period sometimes painful but worthwhile down the line. some insights from "my guy" stay with me til today.
