Mich. gov. looking to shut oil pipeline

TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. — Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer took legal action Friday to shut down a pipeline that carries oil beneath a channel that links two of the Great Lakes.

Whitmer’s office notified the Canadian company that it was revoking an easement granted in 1953 to extend a roughly 4-mile section of the pipeline through the Straits of Mackinac. The revocation will take effect within 180 days, at which time the flow of oil must stop.

The Democratic governor’s legal counsel said in a letter to Enbridge that the revocation resulted from “a violation of the public trust doctrine.”
Enbridge did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

- UK’s trade negotiations parameters remain (ie. no change)
- sunday’s nego deadline will blow past; maybe see an extention blabla
- I will "pay" IF an agreement is cooked, which is opposite of my expectation:

Observation

Christiane Amanpour was, perhaps is, a great reporter. Some of her interviews with leaders are famous.
Comparing Trump to Hitler is an exaggeration. but the point is that Trump is creating a great amount of anger. It is growing every day. His total lack of gentelmanly transfer of power as is the great American tradition is creating some loathsome and disgusted feeling even among many Republicans
There is a growing sense of "Good Riddance" towards him. Some sense of tiredness of this ruthless thug. He is considered now more and more as a strange aberration of the American way and a great eagerness to come back to the good old USA.

He is a bully, a thug, an arrogant bastard--and America has known quite a few like this: Bonny and Clyde, Al Capone, Manson, Jim Jones, Don Corleone....all were somehow admired in their time ---but they were discarded and disposed of by society.
Trump was a lone star/ranger, vanishing commet and he will soon be forgotten. This is what Amanpour meant, in my opinion.
