The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) reported Monday there are an estimated 434 million firearms in private possession in the United States of America.
NSSF Firearm Production Figures show approximately six million firearms were manufactured in the U.S. in 2019, they included 3.6 million pistols and revolvers, two million rifles, and 480,000 shotguns.
Another 3.3 million firearms were imported into the U.S. during 2019. Those imports “included 2.3 million pistols and revolvers, 301,000 rifles and 678,000 shotguns.”

Update (1400ET): Dorsey has just delivered perhaps the greatest hint yet that President Trump's days on Twitter might be numbered.
Asked by Hawaii Sen. Mazie Hirono what the companies are doing to stop President Trump's "lies", Dorsey replied that special treatment enjoyed by President Trump as an election official "goes away" once an individual leaves office. In other words, if Trump tweets any claims about the election being stolen after leaving office, he could see his account suspended, frozen or removed entirely.

Update (1300ET): The NYT's Dealbook conference is moving ahead despite the resurgence in COVID-19 cases. Dr. Anthony Fauci told Andrew Ross Sorkin, the editor of the NYT's Dealbook, that life could return to "close to normal" by fall of next year if more than 75% of Americans get vaccinated.
"This is going to be a difficult task. We’ve got to do outreach. We’ve got to be transparent," Dr. Fauci said. He also claimed that the US needs to make available rapid at-home tests kits that can be used daily.
Dr. Fauci's comments seem to be at odds with his insistence that the outbreak is far from over, and that people might be wearing masks and following social distancing rules until the end of next year.

a common misconception across the pond. the uk has ALREADY left the EU in 2019. a transition has been in place since then, which expires dec 31st 2020. after which the relationship goes to wto terms OR to whatever has been agreed at that time. currently nothing is in writing although one assumes some bare bones could be jotted down to allow flights etc even if nothing else major such as fishing state support etc has been agreed.

Personal Observations:
Reports negotiators are now expecting that a Brexit trade deal could come as early as next week. GBPUSD id higher and the EURGBP is now about steady.
Markets remain upbeat about progress on the Covid vaccine front. This has been constructive for equities. Good news on the Vaccine front fits in with the narrative for a weaker USD in the new tear. We will be waiting to see if this pans out.
Yields in global interest rates are mostly lower.
The Aussie is lower and USDVAD is about steady.

From redstate.com...gambling websites around the world have not yet paid out on the election. That is because no matter what the MSM says, the gambling websites say neither candidate has been declared the winner.
Apparently lots of money is riding on this...the posting mentions $600M in outstanding bets at Betfair in London (never heard of 'em).
I imagine this will be resolved as the days go by. The various deadlines for certifying vote results and carrying out legal actions and challenges are coming closer and closer.
