The state of Pennsylvania on Friday backtracked from a portion of tightened coronavirus protocols issued earlier in the week that would have required many of the state’s professional and college athletes to wear masks even during competition.
A state-issued FAQ that accompanied the mandate detailed the requirements for those participating in sports.
“Coaches, athletes (including cheerleaders), and spectators must wear face coverings if they cannot maintain sustained physical distance from persons outside of their household. This includes while actively engaged in workouts, competition, and on the sidelines, in the dugout, etc.,” the FAQ reads.
The NFL’s Pittsburgh Steelers and NCAA’s Penn State Nittany Lions declared they were exempt from the mandate, causing confusion over the new requirements.

I won’t even bother to outline the possible economic perversities and experiments the new regime might attempt to try because of the following…
…which is the king-hell financial fiasco that will attend a Joe Biden presidency and the monumental unwind of activity that will present as implacable depression. The global banking system is ten-months pregnant with Rosemary’s Baby. The Covid-19 winter lockdowns will put a bullet in the brain of any remaining small businesses, and the giant zombie companies are next to fall. Rent, mortgage, and loan forbearances run out in December. If they are not renewed, many families stand to lose their homes; if they are extended, many creditors and landlords will be screwed, unable to meet their own obligations. Few in the media or in officialdom seem to comprehend that unpaid debts thunder through the system, and eventually undermine the whole system, especially the currencies that circulate like the system’s blood supply.

The mantra "get woke, go broke" is one both the NBA and the NFL are becoming intimately familiar with.
Last week's Sunday Night Football Patriots vs. Ravens game - featuring two of the best quarterbacks in the league and arguably the best coach in NFL history - saw its ratings collapse 31% over last year's Week 10 game.
Sports Media Watch reported: “Ratings have dropped for all 11 NFL games on NBC this season, with viewership down for all-but-one.”
Monday Night Football also saw a similar tick down in ratings. It averaged 11.45 million viewers this past week, which was a 28% decline from the Monday night game last season.

The problem for the MSM isn't Trump, but rather the ever-increasing portion of the US population that is tuning them out. Notice, if you will, that the legal battles are a sideshow to the real problem...that millions of people in the country think (rightly or wrongly) that Biden cheated, that the mainstream media helped him do it, and that increasing numbers of US citizens are ignoring the media as "fake news".
Any other Republican would be crying for their mommy, and doing the Nixon thing of "exiting the office with dignity". This is what the MSM wants most of all...for Trump to go out of office in shame, rejected by everybody and be replaced by Harris, Biden, and Obama pulling the strings. Instead, we get Donald Trump...a streetfighter who won't hesitate to play dirty, and a base of voters who have no problem with smashing politically correct dogma.
The Trump presidency has at least two months left. Make some popcorn and see what he does to p*** people off.

at any other time, the 90min press conference held yesterday by the Trump legal team would have sent the stock market into a wild tailspin.....And peopel would be seriously crying Black Friday.
However the MSM all but ignored/dismissed the accusations as, at best, Russian Propaganda, because those people laying them out are obviously wackjobs, with zero credibility....because, well we the MSM say so.
Regardless, a new can-o-worms has been quite publically put on the tableand cannot be ignored.

#COVID19 UPDATE: We will submit a request today to the @US_FDA for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of our mRNA vaccine candidate with @BioNTech_Group.
6:55 AM · Nov 20, 2020
The nature of the FDA's approval is still not clear: The FDA could authorize the vaccine broadly for the US population, or limit it to a specific group such as the elderly or minorities. Pfizer's vaccine - which according to its "final" report is roughly 95% effective (up from 90% in the 'preliminary' data) - must be stored at -70 degrees Celsius, equivalent to -94 degrees Fahrenheit. Pfizer has created a special container to keep the shots cold during distribution. The US government has already agreed to pay Pfizer and BioNTech some $2 billion for 100 million doses of the vaccine, and the companies have struck similar deals with other companies.

Update (0810ET): South Australia has revoked its draconian lockdown, which banned people from even walking their dogs, after it was revealed that just one person lied to contact tracers.
Police even confirmed via Twitter that people who walked their dogs outside would be in violation of the law, prompting a huge backlash.
But now, just a day later, the lockdown is set to be revoked after authorities admitted that the one person who sparked the decision had lied to contact tracers.
The government has now acknowledged that the man, who was initially blamed for being a ‘super spreader’, had in fact not been the source of what authorities claimed was a super-infectious strain of the virus.
“Their story didn’t add up. We pursued them. We now know that they lied,” said South Australia Premier Steven Marshall.
Maybe authorities should have confirmed the man’s story before announcing their draconian lockdown?

For a while now, EUR/USD price action has shown a repeating pattern. From what I can see, Price trades in a narrow range (less than 100 and often less than 50 pips day to day) with what looks like two stages:
1. A fast run up in price.
2. Price then drifts back down, oscillating on a downward slope.
So you get 1...2...1...2...etc.

Biden would institute a nationwide shutdown if he thought he could do it. The facts on the ground are showing that nobody can do it. There are spots all over the US where the local authorities are "mandating" masks, shutdowns, social distancing and stuff like that, but people all over the country don't like to be told what to do (surprise).
Here in Minnesota, Governor Walz is on the TV every night exhorting people to "follow the science" and "listen to the experts". His voice drips with anger and frustration at a population that has grown weary of quackery and so-called experts. Many aren't listening anymore.

China-led shift to electric vehicles to help end 'oil era': study
Reply
SHANGHAI (Reuters) - An aggressive China-led shift to electric vehicles is expected to slash global oil demand growth by 70% by 2030 and will help bring an end to the “oil era”, according to research by the Carbon Tracker think tank published on Friday.
Within 10 years, China could save more than $80 billion in annual oil import costs as new-energy vehicles (NEVs) become increasingly competitive, Carbon Tracker said.
Its calculations were based on a “conservative” scenario by the International Energy Agency projecting that electric vehicles would account for 40% of China’s total car sales by 2030, and for 20% of sales in India and other emerging markets.
The cost of importing the oil required to fuel an average car is 10 times higher than the cost of solar equipment required to power an electric vehicle, Carbon Tracker said.
“This is a simple choice between growing dependency on what has been expensive oil produced by a foreign cartel, or domestic electricity produced by renewable sources whose prices fall over time,” said Kingsmill Bond, strategist with Carbon Tracker and the report’s lead author.
Electric vehicles are a key component of China’s efforts to slash climate-warming greenhouse gases and improve urban air quality, and India is also setting ambitious 2030 vehicle sales targets.
China has not yet set a date when it will ban the production and sale of traditional cars, but an industry official said last month that NEVs will account for 50% of all new car sales by 2035, with hybrid vehicles making up the remainder.

The bottom line is that a lot of people have been spoiled by cheap money. It is said that when something is free, it goes to waste and is not respected.
That's where Western society is at right now. The bankers and politicians throw money around because it's "free" (to them anyway), in an attempt to keep the masses from revolting. Enter people like AOC saying to pay people to stay home.

The Maryland Department of Health said in a release Thursday that Marylanders should seriously consider limiting their travel through New Year’s Day. The department launched a webpage that looks to answer frequently asked questions about holiday travel during the pandemic.

“We are all tired of this pandemic and desperately want it to be over, but now is not the time to let our guard down,” said department secretary Robert R. Neall.
