"WASHINGTON Lawmakers participating in rare weekend talks on a huge coronavirus relief measure reported progress on Saturday, as political pressure mounts to restore a newly expired $600-per-week supplemental unemployment benefit and send funding to help schools reopen. " ../. - CanPress

Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) on Friday defended the marijuana provisions in the Democrats' most recent round of coronavirus relief, rejecting suggestions that support for the cannabis industry is unrelated to the public health crisis sweeping the country.
"I don't agree with you that cannabis is not related to this," Pelosi said during a press briefing in the Capitol. "This is a therapy that has proven successful."

COVID
"This is a unique situation where we as a company simply cannot take the risk if in ... four years the vaccine is showing side effects," said Ruud Dobber, a top exec at AstraZeneca.
"In the contracts we have in place, we are asking for indemnification. For most countries, it is acceptable to take that risk on their shoulders because it is in their national interest," said Dobber, adding that Astra and regulators were making safety and tolerability a top priority.

Biggest business in the world--selling personal information
ac You speak (write) as if this stuff is all brand new. What do you think a credit score is? What do you think forex brokers do with all the analytic information they collect on you? Employers? Grocery stores?
The whole world runs on this stuff.
Hate it if you want to. You can say anything you want about Apple and Google and Amazon or whoever. But don't think for a minute that what they are doing is any different than what any credit reporting agency or check verification service does. This stuff has been going on in one form or another since at least the 1950s.

DRS2, you too are oblivious to the power of personal behavioral information.
Here is an article from today:
Data isn't just being collected from your phone. It's being used to score you.
Operating in the shadows of the online marketplace, specialized tech companies you've likely never heard of are tapping vast troves of our personal data to generate secret "surveillance scores" - digital mug shots of millions of Americans - that supposedly predict our future behavior. The firms sell their scoring services to major businesses across the U.S. economy.
People with low scores can suffer harsh consequences....

Most of the profits of the tech companies come from selling their (confidential) client data. It is like MacDonald making the bulk of their profits not from burgers but from real estate and, yes, selling eaters' information. Those algorithm are getting very sophisticated. They are very close to be able to REALLY control our behavior.

Biggest business in the world--selling personal information
ac 12:44 I tend to agree with Facebook not offering significant value to society, but it can be argued that Apple and Amazon offer tremendous values. Nobody can argue with the market success of Apple products over the years, and Amazon has taken over the distribution and logistics position that Sears once played.
If Facebook disappeared, then the world wouldn't miss it. However, if Apple or Amazon disappeared, then the world would not only miss them, but would do everything possible to recreate them. The fact that they sell information about their clients is possibly unseemly, but you need to have clients before you can sell information about them. They got rich by making and doing things that their clients want.

What makes Amzn, FB, Aapl---so rich?! selling collected and analyzed information about their clients.
They manufacture NOTHING. Their added value to human good is zilch. If they disappeared tmw--no one (except the buyers of this information) would even notice.
Bezos and Zuckergerg are geniuses and they deserve the money they make with their wisdom--but it tells a lot about homo sapience.

The ruling mullahs of Iran are excited. They are convinced that a new US president, like his previous boss, former President Barack Obama, will throw them the lifeline so badly needed for their survival, their hold on power, and their ability to advance their nuclear and other imperialist plans -- both in Venezuela against the United States, and in the Middle East.
Iran's economic conditions have become so dire that even some officials are warning of possible revolt and the collapse of the Islamic Republic.

Today Forex Education: Peace of mind
Reply
.
Forex traders should always be done in a state of peace of mind.
One way to impair you analysis capacity is overstaying on any Forex forum.
A) Your analysis may be influenced by others who mostly belong to the 95% who lose money.
B)Precious time needed for Tech. may be wasted on time needed to answer or debate with other member of a forum.
C) Most of forum members are talking their portfolios, want to prove they are right and can't accept those who hold and/or promote positions contrary to theirs. Causing frictions and quarrels, which are not positive for mental analysis capacity. Other members are peddling their infinite ranting about a certain subject which have nothing to do with Forex trading.
D) Politics can't be avoided, thus another source of friction and quarrels.
So my advice is to minimize or just disappear from a public Forex forums or better sign to a platform like "Amazing Trader" to avoid public posting and debates .
Years ago GVI was a real Forex forum you could come and learn from many smart people. Things have changed since.
----------------------
A good example of a trader who got damage to his brain faculties and can't stop spilling hatred, is the User of the Macromicromatic trading platform. Why? Because of EGO and the Forum. Now he is bound to continue losing, and obsessed and wasting energies to prove the world his success and spill hatred and curse those who are at odd with him.
---------------------------------
Learn to build your own trading platform. Trading gold for example, is not complicated and by creating your own system you can be very successful. Don't believe that classical Tech. analysis is not working anymore. It works and very well. You have just to be smart enough to use the right and minimal tools needed with the right parameters and you will get great results. GL/GT
I am not here anymore, just to save my energies for making profits.
