xThey say don't add to losing positions, well who ever said that didn't kow what they were saying... The better way is triggered puts/calls and financed maturity calls/puts.
Another way is to chuck the put and use those profits to finance another possie, hence by the time it returns to the previous high you got some massive profits which can be held alongside the original trend possie but none of them should be dumped until the next dip or blip as the case may be.

Here is a winning strategy of my own, I have used it and proved it to work, or at least it worked for me in a very big way.
On an existing trend position. Don't use a stop, instead of using a hard stop trigger a put and chuck it when it turns against you then use that profit to buy a call and hold it till maturity, like that your existing trend position is protected and by the time the call matures the profits can fiance that possie and turbo charge the profits until the next dip...
That's how you run into the fight with guns blazing and never away from it...
I have named it "Non-Stop Triggered Put, Financed Maturity Call."

I have revised/clarified/refined further on my projections on India's repo rates which by the way would go to/above 9.54 like I said a few posts ago, but then 9.54 would then be just a plateau until the next round of erratic global rate hikes... different from India's but erratic nevertheless...
Where yen market interventions are concerned, I think the BOJ should feed the trend and let it stabilize by itself, otherwise it may just wind up being one of those problem economies which eventually will require well... intervention...
So I suggest to keep the powder keg dry, let the greater opportunities spring forth...
