Ok, its a blind buy, no need to fight. Take a loss is not eating the bullet. But surprising to see gold doing this at this height. Close all, including the last March sell from above 2000 and have a break.

* The Federal Reserve likely will approve a quarter-percentage-point interest rate increase next week, according to market pricing and many Wall Street experts.
* A rate increase would come just over a week after other regulators rolled out an emergency lending facility to halt a crisis of confidence in the banking industry.
* This might be one of those times where theres a difference between what they should do and what I think they will do. They definitely should not tighten policy, said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moodys Analytics.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh told the National Press Club in Washington, D.C. that Joe Biden made the decision to blow up Russias Nord Stream pipelines because he saw being a war president as giving him a better chance at re-election.

Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions
Spot the difference:
During the financial crisis . . . [banks] were bailed out . . . Were not going to do that again. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, Sunday
[Yellens action] fully protects all depositors. Treasury, Federal Reserve and FDIC statement, Sunday (hours later)
* Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen told senators that government refunds of uninsured deposits will not be extended to every bank that fails, only those that pose systemic risk to the financial system.
* Yellen has been at the center of an emergency program to refund billions of dollars in uninsured deposits held by clients of the failed Silicon Valley Bank and the shuttered Signature Bank.
* But with markets recovering somewhat, lawmakers were concerned these backstops could become a new norm for big banks, giving too big to fail banks an unfair advantage over community lenders.
Treasury Secretary Yellen says not all uninsured deposits will be protected in future bank failures

SVB - Bernard Madoff
Reading all the stories on SVB it seems to be more a Bernard Madoff story than a banking problem.
All the rich in Silicon Valley banked at SVB because they were promised paradise and SVB facilitated all their dreams.
When something is too good to be true it is probably too good to be true.
This is a criminal case and some of the money needs to come back just like with all the guys who benefitted from Madoff.
PAR 07:47 GMT March 17, 2023
If indeed $ 74 billion of SVB loans are to buy and carry securities then this will cost the US taxpayer a lot of money.
This also correlates to the story that SVB gaves those very risky loan only if they got warrants in the companies.

US INSIDER TRADING
It is amazing how all those CEOs of US banks in trouble manage the risk of their own stock portfolio very well.
The risk of the bank balance sheet is not managed.
For their own portfolios they manage to sell $ millions of their bank shares at high prices just days before bad news brake.
If we should know immediately which insiders are selling we will know which banks are in trouble.
