HIGH IMPACT NEWS ITEMS: CA- Employment
- It might be too early to say this, but ECB President Draghi could have turned the tide on the EURUSD pair with his comments Thursday indicating the problems that a strong currency generates in a low-inflation environment. We will see.
- Chinese April CPI fell to 1.80% yy from 2.40% in March. Th data provide the the PBOC with room to further weaken the CNY to stimulate growth.. Be sure to refer daily to the Global-View Economic Calendar For key items (actual data, selected charts, etc.) as they are released.
- Canadian April Employment data are due on the North American open. Otherwise, dealers will be taking a defensive posture ahead of the weekend and more Ukraine uncertainties.
