Japan PM Abe Delays Tax Hike; Calls Snap Election. German ZEW Survey Beats. U.K. CPI Mixed

18 November-- 10:45 GMT- Current Market Conditions:
Markets have moved to a RISK ON posture following a much stronger than expected German ZEW Survey and after Japanese PM Abe confirmed a postponement of the Sales Tax increase by 18 months and called for a snap election for December 21. U.K. inflation data were mixed.
In the Far East, equities ended mostly lower. European bourses are higher. U.S. share futures are lower. The U.S 10-yr note yield is down. 10-yr bund yields and Gilt yields are down. European peripheral bond yields are mixed.
The heat map color scheme of interest rates reflects yields.
HIGH IMPACT NEWS: US- PPI
- Its been a volatile session early today following a much stronger than expected German ZEW Survey. This is an economic survey of fund managers and as a result tends to be volatile. There was chatter today the German economy might be stabilizing.
- As expected, Japanese PM Abe delayed the consumption tax increase to April 2017 and called a snap Lower House election for December 21.
- U.K. inflation data were mixed, but are seen declining due to falling energy priced in the near future.
- Wednesday sees BOE and Fed policy minutes and U.S. Housing Starts data.
- Key items Thursday are global flash PMI estimates, U.K. Retail Sales, U.S. CPI, Consumer Confidence and Existing Homes Sales.
- Friday highlights are a speech by ECB President Draghi and Canadian CPI figures.
