- The USD is heading into the Christmas holiday period on a roughly steady note, although USDJPY is lower The economic calendar is light today. U.S. flash Markit Service PMI is the only data due.
- Earlier today, the Greman IFO Survey was released. This is a closely followed release inside of Germany. The December data were mixed and had little impact on trading.
- Expect limited trader participation until after the turn of the year. Recall, limited volumes no longer always imply stable prices.
- The markets are still digesting the more hawkish than expected Fed decision Wednesday. It continues to be a source of USD support.
