How You Can Trade Forex With Inside Information
There was a time when information about market flows was readily available in the forex market. This is no longer the case. Banks are no longer permitted to pass on such information. However, as I explain in the following there is a way to identify market flows that will make you feel like you are trading with “inside information.”
On Friday, November 4, 2022, the US October employment report was released with both nonfarm payrolls and the unemployment rate increasing more than expected.
There was nothing in the report that would change the direction of Fed monetary policy. Yet, the dollar, which initially spiked higher quickly reversed course and continued to fall throughout the day.
We can speculate about the source of the dollar selling but it doesn’t matter. As I explained. the days of getting firsthand flow information are long gone.
All we should care about is to identify when “real flows,” as opposed to speculative buying or selling is driving a market. .If you can identify those times with a strategy to take advantage of it, you will be trading with the “real flows” and it will feel like you are trading with inside information.
So, the question you should be asking is, How can I learn to trade with inside information?
