"With elections in Germany coming up Europe is booming"
lol... what a very convenient coincidence. ;-)
Meanwhile back on the farm, with all the houpla, it looks very likely that EUR/USD will start the year (2014) around 1.31 for what? the fourth year in a row? Or is it longer than that?

ib, i wouldnt say booming, but certain industries are finding a footing and a bottom certainly is in place. Not sure anyone can gloat as its been a very long multi year recession. But month on month things are slowly improving and each month you can point to something new. This week we have have seen apanish pmis move to above 50 for the firstctime since the crisis took hold. Small victories build foundarions for the future. Germany services up soon followed by uk services.

red, recent data for services have been quite good especially for UK, should be positive for euro and cable today
Paris ib 07:29:32 GMT - 09/04/2013
red I always thought the Euro 'crisis' was 'manufactured' with specific political aims in mind, so I don't believe the houpla, either one way or the other. The European economy is not about to crash, there is a recovery, you can hype that if you want to in view of elections..... But I do wonder about how well the exchange rate is managed. It seems it is very well 'managed'. So I just wonder about the value in trading EUR/USD unless something really fundamental happens. And yes I think the odds favour a USD fall in that case.

Secret agreement by Draghi and Bernanke to keep EURUSD around 1.3000 like the former European snake ?
Everything seems to be decided in obscure meetings by Draghi and Bernanke .
