Probably just a coincidence but PCE started to decline when Ben put his monthly 45 bio of treasury (money) hoarding in place, held steady up until he relented and is now rising again

Inflation is whatever the authorities want it to be. If the methodology for calculating inflation had not been changed inflation in the United States would currently be running at around 6% per annum. And if you adjusted nominal GDP by that inflation rate GDP data would be very, very different. That is there would not have been a 'recovery'.
