For day traders, EURUSD has some intra-day res around 1.2822-23, key level is the day high at 1.2844 -- so far 1.2820 is holding

my point about that was
@9am this morning - it looked to me we would be selling USD for the day trend
but by 10pm .. the market has given up doing that .. and focussed on liquidations.

Keep in mind that the JPY is the ultimate carry trade currency. That means that Hedge Fund type traders for decades have been FINANCING their asset purchases in JPY. So when those assets are sold, JPY has to be purchased to pay off those loans. We pointed this out re the EUR yesterday, but the JPY has been the KING of carry trade financing for decades.
This is one of the financial distortions perpetua Quantitative Ease (QE) generates.
