The narrative has encouraged USD longs versus the Euro and the JPY. And that narrative is wrong.
Seems like the main straw was the ADP CONTRACTION, without any relation to it's absolute number.

The crowded trade has been short EURUSD. TheISM Service PMI appears to have been the last straw and the final hope for EURUSD shorts.

John you have speculative trading and you have international capital flows. The potential for an 'exit' from the USD from those holding USD assets is simply enormous. How enormous? Well potentially you have 6 trillion USD worth looking to exit through that tiny little door. AND then you have the speculators which might just starting getting their move on. This is quite a serious situation and what does the FED have? Nothing. And what does the U.S. have, thanks to its absolutely demented foreign policy? A whole bunch of enemies out there. All round it's not a good look. Foreign debt is never a great idea. And foreign debt to finance a military empire and a geo political strategy of world domination is... well, insane. The sooner it is over the better.

fwiw 115.95 is the recent low in USDJPY. 118.80 was the close on the day before the BOJ announcement. You have to figure that 116.00 or so is the BOJ's point of pain?
